Golden Acres Custom Calls LLC

We’re back in the shop full time after taking a break this summer to work at a Christian summer camp up in East Texas! I just uploaded two calls to the website and will drop some links below. The first is an African Blackwood jframe capped in ivory with a brass inlay and a raised half stippled brass band. This call was turned in my dad’s shop where I spent my childhood learning the art of woodworking. The second call is a full ebonite K-1 model cutdown in a one off shape I built while preparing for the call maker’s build off up at callapallooza this year. It was an honor to compete in the call makers build off at callapallooza up at the RNT headquarters! Couldn’t have asked for better team mates and we sure got some cool stuff accomplished in a short amount of time and ended up coming up on top. Big thanks to RNT for hosting the event as well as Ronnie Turner for coordinating and running the build off. We’ve been working tirelessly to bring you a more affordable option for these mini Olt style DR-85 barrels! These high quality polymer barrels are printed based off a hand turned prototype. We built them to be paired with a Haydel’s DR-85 insert with comfort and better air flow in mind. With a thicker and reamed mouth piece, these barrels allow more air to enter the call and provide your lips with considerably more comfort than the thin plastic originals. This first small batch consists of roughly 32 barrels in 4 different color options. Link will be in our bio. Get em while they last!

Two off the books custom calls available! I spend so much of my time filling custom orders that I rarely get the chance to turn what I want to turn. Well I decided to take a breather and spin some fun calls that I wanted to build! Up for grabs on our website is an orange pearl single reed jframe paired with a black band, as well as a yellow k-1 model Olt replica. Y’all check em out!

A fun build for a good cause. We raffled this call off today at a clay tournament to raise funds for scholarships for kids to go to Frontier Camp. I always enjoy getting to use my skill set for projects like this!

A soft smaller bore finishing call we built for an older gentleman this past week. This call is made from three different materials per request. The barrel is crafted from old growth hedge harvested from my childhood hometown in East Texas. The insert is made from ivory acrylic sleeved in ebonite for the toneboard. One of my favorite soft calls I’ve made to date!

Off the books cutdown available! Old school ivory flair grip insert in a faded P.S Olt world logo barrel with a handmade fordite crack ring! I had alot of fun with this one! Link to the website below ⬇️
