To our Coach,
As student athletes, coaches make a big impact on our lives. Not only do they teach us about the sport, but how to persevere through loss, accountability for our actions, and leadership. Even after college rodeo, the morals you have instilled upon us will remain.
Thank you for pushing us to be the best athletes, students, and Christians we could be. I know we don’t say it enough, but we appreciate every early morning, late night, and long weekend you work in order to see us succeed.
You are always there for us in every conversation, every correction, every word of encouragement, and every moment you chose to believe in us, even when we may not have believed in ourselves. Thank you for pushing us when we need to be pushed and picking us up when things don’t go our way.
You have taught the team something much greater than rodeo. You have taught each of us what it feels like to have someone fully believe in you. You may never know how much confidence you’ve helped build, how many tears you’ve helped wipe away, or how many times you’ve made a person believe they could do something they were afraid they couldn’t.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to college rodeo and thank you for truly caring about us. Today, on National Coaches Day, we recognize your time, your energy, your patience, and your heart. Thank you for being the kind of coach our team will remember for the rest of our lives.
