Koi feeders are currently unavailable due to ongoing issues affecting the feeder system. They are likely to remain unavailable for the remainder of the season. We appreciate the many visitors who care for and respect this space. We're exploring alternative ways to provide opportunities to engage with the koi pond.

The slightly muddy conditions from a recent spring rain didn’t seem to faze this mink near the river at Oxbow Ridge. Sightings like these are a reminder of the diverse wildlife that call the forest preserves home.

Designed for curious and motivated youth ages 8-15 who love to share their knowledge about nature or history with an audience. This information session will kick off a collaborative, ongoing partnership between young people and the Forest Preserves’ public program department.
