Our newest addition to the Crescent Moon teacher family — Jenny Mirmelstein 🌙

If you’ve taken a class with her already, you’ve likely felt the kind of space she creates — grounded, supportive, and completely judgment-free.

With over 12 years of teaching experience and a 500-hour certification, Jenny blends movement, breath, music, and yoga philosophy into a practice that feels both challenging and accessible.

Her journey began more than 20 years ago as a young mom looking to reconnect with herself and build strength — physically and mentally. Over time, that practice became something deeper… not just something she did, but something she lived.

And that’s what she brings into every class.

A space where you’re encouraged to explore, to show up as you are, and to make the practice your own.

Outside the studio, Jenny is a mom of three, a Communications Director, a lululemon legacy ambassador, and someone who finds joy in music, nature, and time by the water.

We’re so happy to have her as part of the Crescent Moon community 🤍

A lot of people assume it’s only for future instructors…
but for many, it becomes something much more personal than that.

It’s a chance to slow down and really understand your practice.
To learn the “why” behind what you’ve been doing.
To build confidence in your body, your breath, and your voice.

It’s space to step away from the noise of everyday life
and reconnect with yourself in a more intentional way.

Yes, you’ll learn how to teach, but you’ll also learn how to listen, observe, and show up differently… both on and off the mat.

The 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Crescent Moon, led by Leslie Corren, offers a supportive and in-depth space for anyone ready to go deeper — whether that path leads to teaching or a more meaningful connection to your practice.

Not everything you carry is in your mind — a lot of it lives in your body.

When that processing doesn’t have an outlet, it doesn’t just disappear.
It lingers in the body as tension, tightness, fatigue, or a persistent sense of being “on.”

This is where movement becomes more than exercise.

Intentional movement — paired with breath and awareness — helps the body complete what it’s been holding onto.

It supports circulation, improves mobility, and most importantly, helps regulate the nervous system.

When the nervous system begins to settle, the body follows.

Muscles release.
Breath deepens.
The mind becomes less reactive.

Over time, this creates a shift,
from tension to ease,
from holding to releasing,
from constant effort to a more balanced state.

This is why movement can feel like relief, even when you can’t fully explain why.

It’s about allowing the body to return to a state where it can function, recover, and feel safe again.

That’s where real, sustainable healing begins 💛

If you’re looking for practices that support healing through movement, we offer:

🌿 Somatic Yoga for Recovery — focused on releasing stored tension and supporting nervous system regulation
🌙 low Restore with Sound — for deep rest, relaxation, and a full-body reset

A new month always brings a quiet invitation… 🤍

Not to become someone new overnight, but to return to yourself in a more intentional way.

To notice what you’ve been carrying.
To soften what feels tight.
To choose, again, how you want to move through your days.

Affirmations aren’t about forcing positivity.
They’re gentle reminders of what’s already within you, steady, present, and available when you slow down enough to hear it.

Take what resonates.
Come back to it when you need it.
Let it support you in small, quiet ways this month.

If by Friday you feel completely drained… this is your reset.

The kind of tired that isn’t just physical.
It’s the mental load, the conversations, the constant doing, the week catching up with you all at once.

Instead of pushing through the weekend in that state…what if you gave yourself a moment to actually pause?

Our Friday Sound Bath is a chance to lie down, soften, and let everything settle.

The sound of crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes works gently on your nervous system, helping your body release tension, your mind slow down, and your energy come back into balance.

No effort. No expectations.
Just space to rest and receive.

It’s a simple but powerful way to reset before the weekend, so you’re not just getting through it… you’re actually present for it.

Come as you are. Leave a little lighter 💛

Plans for Friday afternoon? 🤍

If you’ve been wanting a moment to slow down, connect, or just step out of your usual routine… this might be it.

Our Monthly Women’s Circle is a space to sit together, talk if you want, listen if you need, or just enjoy being around other women without any pressure.

Nothing fancy. Nothing you need to prepare for.
Just time set aside for you.

At some point, your practice starts to shift.

It’s not just about the poses anymore.
It’s about how you breathe through challenge.
How you show up for yourself.
How you carry what you learn off the mat and into your life.

That’s where Teacher Training begins.

Not just as a certification, but as a deeper exploration of who you are, how you move, and how you want to live.

Our 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training & In-Depth Philosophy Study is designed to support that transformation — whether you feel called to teach or simply want to go further in your practice.

Led by Leslie Corren, at Crescent Moon Yoga, this journey unfolds over 11½ immersive weekends from September 2026 to May 2027.

If you’ve been feeling that shift… that curiosity… that pull toward something more — this might be your next step.

Student Spotlight 🤍

Meet Kate Heybor!
Mahwah mom, teacher, and now officially a doctorate graduate 👏🎓

Through busy mornings, long days, and everything life demands, Kate still found a way to keep showing up for herself. Even making it to 6 AM classes before heading to work!

Life didn’t suddenly get less busy. She just kept making space for the things that helped her feel good.
Such a good reminder that life doesn’t always slow down for us to take care of ourselves.

We’re so proud of everything she’s accomplished and so grateful to have her as part of the Crescent Moon community 🤍

Say hi to Kate below!
