What an exciting end to our first weekend back at the track after a long summer break! We made our way to Port City Raceway for the Pete Frazier Memorial.

We may not have been around to experience the joys of racing with those that came before us but this event definitely shows the impacts of previous generations. Thank you to all of those that make it possible, with a special thanks for the hard charger award in the Non Wing class by the Smith’s in memory of Bob Chandler. We first met Bob in Shawnee while racing go karts and he seemed like an old friend from the start. It was wild to me that he actually knew who the kids were and mentioned they looked great even though we had never met before. His memory lives on with us as well as many others.

For the race results:

Friday night Avery made the A main in Nonwing! However, Eli couldn’t catch a break from the SQZRLS and helped clean out the trailer of spare parts….

Saturday the tables turned a bit, with Avery not able to make an A, but Eli getting into both features but the highlight was the Non Wing race where he started 17th and finished 3rd. Eli had a run at the end with about 5 laps to go but got loose and had to settle for 3rd.

The ups and down of racing are still there after our break lol, but it was fantastic to be back at the track!

🏁 PORT CITY RACEWAY WEEKEND RECAP | Morgan Motorsports 🏁

Two days. Two drivers. Two classes. Another weekend of growth, speed, and hard-fought racing for Morgan Motorsports at Port City Raceway.

Both Avery Morgan (07A) and Eli Morgan (15E) competed in A-Class Micro and Non-Wing Micro competition Friday and Saturday against some of the toughest competition around.

Eli showed speed all weekend and continued putting himself in position to battle up front.

Friday night Non-Wing unfortunately ended in a DNF after contact while working through traffic… turns out his car was faster than the one in front of him 🐿️💨

The great part is that his response was exactly what you want to see—bounce back, stay fast, and finish the weekend with two podium finishes.

Avery continued gaining experience and putting together consistent runs across both classes all weekend.

Made the trip to Port City Raceway to get at least one night of racing in and Eli Morgan pulled off the Non-Wing win and a 4th place in Wing.

Avery Morgan made the A but thought we didn’t make the transfer from the B so she didn’t start, rookie mistakes were made without our Crew Chief Executive

What a weekend at Port City Raceway for the Donnie Ray Crawford Legacy Foundation race. Even though we are relatively new to micro sprint racing this event shows the everlasting impact on racing he left. Very proud to be a competitor in this event and be apart of the legacy that has been ongoing for 15 years.

While Friday and Saturday nights were full of race craft lessons, on Saturday both Avery Morgan and Eli Morgan made the big show. Eli would finish 6th and Avery 15th in A class.

Then the 55 lap nonwing race came around and Eli locked into that only racing on Saturday. Neither kid has raced nonwing very much but from how Eli handled the switch you would think he had been here before. He started 9th and would get up to 4th, but would finish 6th and was worn out after the race lol.

Thanks to Boland Speed and Performance for the machines to make our ability to succeed possible as well as the “online” support that comes with it.

Also thanks to Swift Springs as we are getting the cars to a point where the little things like spring rate are starting to matter even more and we have been very happy with how consistent these springs react.

Last but not least the Senter Sisters for keeping the dream possible with your support and belief in the team.
