A LITTLE ABOUT ME ❤️
I’m a mom of two boys, I work part-time, and in my spare time, I’m a personal trainer. If I’m not running to a practice or a game, you can probably find me in the gym. 😂
I work with all different types of clients — from middle school and high school athletes, to middle-aged adults, to senior citizens. My goal is simple:
I want to help you move better, feel better, and live better.
My journey into personal training was inspired largely by my mom.
She has always been strong and active, but as she has gotten older, arthritis and years of wear and tear have slowed her down. Seeing the amount of pain she experiences and the things she has had to miss out on breaks my heart.
It made me realize that I want to do everything I can to take care of my body now so that I can hopefully stay strong, mobile, and active as I get older.
I’ve also been active pretty much my entire life. I played a lot of softball as an adult, but my knees constantly hurt. I dealt with terrible shin splints. My back hurt all the time.
Eventually, I thought, “Something has to change.”
So I started researching. I learned about proper exercises, proper form, mobility, stretching, strength training, and how the body is supposed to move.
And somewhere along the way, that research turned into a genuine love for fitness.
That love eventually led me to become a certified personal trainer — and here we are. ❤️
But I also want to be REAL with you.
Women: As we age, our hormones change. Our bodies change. Some days you feel stronger than ever, and other days you feel like a marshmallow that got shoved in the microwave. 😂
Some days you feel like you can conquer the world. Other days, picking up a 10-pound weight feels like a major accomplishment.
That doesn't mean you're failing. It's part of being human and part of getting older.
Men: As you age, testosterone naturally declines. Energy can change. Building and maintaining muscle can become more challenging, and changes in body composition — especially around the midsection — can happen.
But aging doesn't mean you have to stop taking care of yourself.
And then there are our teenagers.
We’ve all seen the kids in the gym trying to outlift each other, loading up the bar and trying to lift as heavy as possible. 🏋️♂️
I want to teach them that fitness isn't about ego.
It’s about learning proper form, moving correctly, building strength safely, and understanding how to fuel their bodies.
And I want to help parents and athletes understand things like proper nutrition and how supplements such as protein can fit into a healthy training routine.
Most importantly, I want you to know that I’m human too.
I’m a busy mom. Sometimes I’m overwhelmed. Sometimes I’m exhausted. Sometimes I’m just trying to make it through the day.
Sometimes I eat something that isn't part of my “clean eating” plan.
Sometimes I don't hit my calorie goal.
Sometimes I don't get my workout in.
And you know what?
That's okay.
One bad meal doesn't ruin your progress.
One missed workout doesn't erase your hard work.
One bad day doesn't mean you should quit.
Don't give up. Don't beat yourself up. Just keep going.
That's what Functional Fitness is about.
Fitness that helps you with EVERYDAY LIFE.
Being able to get up off the floor.
Carry the groceries.
Play with your kids.
Keep up with your family.
Get stronger.
Move without fear.
Stay active as you age.
No judgment. No pressure.
Just encouragement, understanding, support, consistency, and a whole lot of hard work.
Whether you're a teenager wanting to get stronger, an adult wanting to feel better in your body, or a senior wanting to maintain strength and independence — there is a place for you here.
Move better. Feel better. Live better.
