2 good teams here but Pete's was better last nite and held the lead throughout. Balanced scoring attack for Pete's in the win

APC was led by Tom Crowley with 13 points while Billy Farnsworth had 12 in the loss

Team Link 64 Teale Law 54
Good job by both these teams last nite who both have shown they can win games. Team Link got down double digits early but clawed back to take the lead and the game.
Team Link was led by Nick Pigeon with 20 points while Billy Burke had 18 points and Nicholas Wilder 15 points in the win
Joshua Mattson led Teale Law in the loss with 22 points while Devin Maglio had 17 points

MBA customers will be signing these forms to play in leagues
Though the overwhelming amount of players bring solid energy and sportsmanship to our leagues it's necessary that players are aware we have expectations in conduct at MBA
MBA Staff has also been told that they are expected to be respectful, fair and professional going forward with all customers, including difficult customers
I have the obligation and responsibility to make sure it's a safe and positive environment at MBA and with that am assertively taking fast as needed action on some needed changes
I cannot have the attitude and approach that since most things are going great that the few things that are not can continue
It's not fair to the business, staff or customers who want a positive experience at MBA

I will make changes as needed to make it better for everyone

MBA Participation Forms for Leagues
1 players will respect staff as well as teammates, opponents and the business
2 players have an awareness that safety and ethical play, not egregious play, is expected regardless of opponent or score
3 anyone being excessively rude or threatening others, Including making comments that are seen as things that are combative, may be asked to leave the gym by staff
4 players will be aware that MBA has an expectation of positive energy and fun in the gym. Though everyone wants to win it's expected that players will participate with an awareness that their behavior is expected to be overall pleasant and respectful toward others, whether competing in the heat of the game or not
5 players have an understanding that staff is aware they are expected to comply with and follow standard procedures for the business when dealing with problematic players or issues
Staff is aware that going forward if they choose to not follow standard procedures they will not be working at MBA

Getting to talk to the players as human beings pre and post game is the best part of me being in the gym when I am at MBA. So many solid people at MBA. Overwhelming majority bring positive energy and sportsmanship. For the very few who can't do that you won't be playing for a bit. I have an obligation to the staff, the customers as a whole, and the product itself to do what's needed to make sure that things that need to be dealt with will be dealt with . One of the worst things a player can do when I put on a referee shirt and officiate is forgot that you are still in my gym and I am still the owner of the business.i will always respect people but won't allow bs. Overall a great nite at MBA but a few things I am definitely dealing with immediately. I've worked way too hard on my business to allow anything that is gonna hurt the experience for others entering the gym.. It's not all roses and flowers in this business. It's a basketball business. However, as I said, the vast majority of people entering the gym are bringing the right energy that makes MBA what it is ..

Our college sized MBA gymnasium can be rented on the weekends! We are very busy but do have some gap openings for trainers or coaches who want to get their ballers in the gym! We also are popular for birthday parties for kids, who love the huge space to run around and have fun!

Owl Week 8 results..

Teale Law 63 Pete's Painting 60

Expected a dog fight close game and got it. These teams looked even going in with the big addition of Shane Whalen to Teale Law and the game played out as one where either team could win throughout. The end game came down to a Bryan Casey block on a 3 pointer as he made a big stop to secure the win. Both teams were missing a major piece of their roster so if they face off in the playoffs I expect another coin flip. Teale Law has taken a miserable 0 and 6 start and now won an overtime and this close game to turn their season around. What we now have is 4 teams in the MBA Owl who all very even, which was the MBA objective when teams were made

Team Link takes the 9 point win in this one as Billy Burke goes for 31 points in the win. Team Link has had a session with a lot of cohesion and chemistry and they are confident with 2 weeks to go till playoffs. APC came up short in this one but has still had a very solid session. They were short players in this game and subs are usually needed to get wins in The Owl

MBA side note...
Every team now has at least 1 player where it can be argued that they are too good for this league. Prior to Whalen being added this was not the case. Teams expected an easy win vs Teale prior to his addition and got it. His addition created full parity in the league. This was the intentional purpose of me adding him to the team. All 4 teams went into the session believing they would have a shot to win it. It was necessary and the right thing to do to add him to team as all players signed up with the view that it would be 4 even teams. 2 weeks in Teale has won in overtime and won by 3. So far it sure looks like the correct move when it comes to parity.....
I don't care what team wins. I do care that we have even teams ....

The Owl League returns Tonite!
The question of the nite, which will be found out, is how much has Joshua Mattson and Teale Law turned the outlook of their season with the addition made by MBA of a Owl changing player. This team was getting waxed till last week where they pulled a close win versus a solid team. This league may now look like a 4 team race for the title which was the goal when I first made the teams for the session.....
