A hundred years later, the Gray Ghost is still catching fish.

First tied by Carrie Stevens in 1924, the Gray Ghost became one of the most iconic streamer patterns ever created. Brook trout, landlocked salmon, browns, lake trout and rainbows — this pattern has earned its place in fly boxes for generations.

Ours is hand-tied on a #4 Daiichi 2220 4XL streamer hook, keeping that unmistakable classic profile.

Some flies come and go. The Gray Ghost has been doing its job for more than a century.

WHAT DOES IT CATCH? YES.

The Squish Daddy is one of those flies you could justify having in just about any saltwater box.

Permit. Bonefish. Speckled trout. Redfish. Jacks. If they’re looking for a crab or shrimp, this thing can play the part.

A weighted epoxy head gets it down, marabou gives it movement, and that little shot of flash makes sure it doesn’t disappear when the water gets dirty.

Tied on a Daiichi 2546 #6 and available in Green and Chartreuse.

One little fly. A whole lot of places to throw it.

This feather-wing baitfish pattern is tied on a #4 Daiichi 2220 4XL hook, giving it a long, slim profile made for streamer fishing. Trout are the obvious target, but don’t be afraid to put it in front of smallmouth, specks, or reds either.

Tied on an Ahrex SA270 Bluewater 3/0, loaded with 3” FINATICS Foxy Brush and roughed-up FINATICS Schlappen to push water and throw a big, nasty profile. A medium lead eye gets it down where the big girls are feeding.

The Bedhead Bull is big, messy and built specifically for bull reds. Tied on an Ahrex SA270 Bluewater 2/0 with a 4mm bead chain eye, then loaded with FINATICS Craft Fur and Marabou for a full, flowing profile that keeps moving even when you slow it down.

That bead chain keeps it from dropping like a rock, making this one right at home when you’re hunting cruising bulls in skinny marsh water.

The Short Strike is built specifically for those fish that hammer the back of a streamer.

A trailing hook sits where short-striking fish tend to grab, while the rabbit zonker wing pulses through the water and the hot yellow collar adds contrast in stained water and low light.

90 YEARS LATER, FISH ARE STILL FALLING FOR IT.

The Mickey Finn dates all the way back to 1936 — and there’s a reason this legendary bucktail streamer is still in fly boxes today.

Our Fire Tiger version turns up the heat with bright yellow bucktail, a hot red center stripe, and a silver Mylar body throwing flash on every strip.

Trout. Smallmouth. Pike. Pickerel. Even snook and specks in brackish water. This old-school pattern has a seriously long hit list.
