▶️The first Channel Masters have been crowned◀️
Five weeks. Two legendary 32-mile crossings. More than 64 miles of open ocean.
After crossing the Kaiwi Channel at Molokai 2 Oahu in July, athletes returned to the water for the Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race completing a new challenge connecting two of prone paddleboarding’s most historic races.
With support from the United States Coast Guard GoCoastGuard combined times from both crossings determined the inaugural Channel Master champions.

Celebrating the athletes who take on the challenge. An amazing portrayal from the Go Coast Guard following a number of athletes in their journey to the M2O last summer.

The channel was alive. Wind howling, swells rolling beneath our boards, and 32 miles of open ocean asking us to commit, to trust our training, and to keep paddling towards O’ahu. This weekend, history was written as the course record was broken, but the true magic of Kaiwi has never lived in a finish time. It lives in the shared sunrise, the boats and es**rt crews supporting us, the friendships forged through salt and effort, and the quiet understanding that the ocean belongs to none of us, but welcomes all who meet it with respect. Until next year, paddlers. 🤙🏽🌊
