What Matters in Training:

Exercise selection
Getting stronger
Training consistently with a plan

What does not matter so much:

Volume, you need to enough to grow. This number can vary. Minimum effective dose consistently over time

Frequency: train a muscle once or twice a week. Long enough timeline, doesn’t make a difference, consistency does

Variety: a large exercise repertoire is good, but it will be key exercise that keep you growing. Find those exercise, never stop doing them

I decided I would share my top 10 most useful individuals and accounts that I’ve learned the most from on social media

I get asked often what accounts I follow. I am specific in curating my social media; I want education and knowledge, not wasteful entertainment.

My #1 account since 2016 would be

Originally I found them as Wall St Playboys on twitter in 2015, then they became BowTiedBull

what did I learn from them?

BUSINESS. How to think like a businessman, how to assess the world, how to understand markets, how to make money

I cannot understate this enough; if you grew up “blue collar” and your mindset is trading time for money, you will require a serious education and paradigm shift in how you view work, value, time and the world at large

I would strongly suggest ALL of you follow their account, subscribe to their Substack, read their past books (start with Efficiency)

WARNING: their content is high level. Do not waste time with dumb questions. Be serious, learn and apply

PRINCIPLES COME FIRST.

Its become trendy in fitness to argue over what is “optimal”

Optimal exercises
Optimal schedule
Optimal sleep
Optimal diets


These conversations can be useful, but they can also be pedantic and pointless. Over optimization can drive people insane with contradicting information, or attempting to be perfect and thinking that nothing less than perfect will suffice.

Reality check: being “healthy” is ultimately a simple formula; you follow good habits, over the long term. 

Whether they are perfect is secondary, what matters is they are good enough to produce a positive outcome, and you build from there

One of bros from twitter got married this past November and invited me to his wedding. A ton of twitter friends were there as well and we hit it off and I was grateful that these digital networks exist to bring people together. I’ve met the best people and the online universe is amazing in what creates in physical life

Healing psychological trauma is the same as healing physical trauma. It only needs to heal ONCE, and you maintain the habits and practices that support the healed state.

You don’t break a bone to make it heal more.

Modern self help and psychology turns people into perpetual victims, inventing traumas and reliving them as a for profit industry.

The trauma self help industry damages far more people than it heals.
