Tip of the week: Resume writingπŸ’»πŸ“„

I actually have you a couple tips so make sure to swipe right to πŸ‘€the second half of the video.

Highlights: Β· If you're working at a small company add a line describing what the company does. If you're at a larger company add the team(s) you worked in
Β· To better highlight progression within one company, you only need to list the company name once. Add the full time you have worked at that company, then break up the titles below and add the dates you held that position in parentheses Β· Add quantifiable bullet points if possible. Example: "Created a new tracking system which increased revenues by 20%"

I hope these are helpful. Comment below if you have specific questions. .

Resume tip #1 πŸ“

How long should my resume be?

Glad you asked πŸ˜‰ Recruiters have a lot of resumes πŸ“‘ to sort through every day so you want your resume to stand out and get to the good stuff! One page can be tough so don't waste the first half on "fluff" (we'll talk more about that later). Focus on getting to your experience. Think of how you added value to the company, 4-6 bulletpoints is ideal.

I understand there are exceptions to the rule depending on your profession. It may be a good idea to have 2 versions - a short and a long version. This is popular amongst Senior Data Scientists who have countless publications. Again, this is a rule of thumb, there are always exceptions to the rules 😎

Happy Resume Writing Y'all! πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ’»β€οΈ
