The Hourglass Body Type isn't just about being “curvy.” It’s really just people who are equally balanced in their lower and upper bodies. Hourglasses tend to carry more weight in their upper and lower bodies with a slender waist. For more specific criteria, check out the carousel above. Do you know your body type? Are you a RULER?

Today’s Movement Monday is for all you hopefuls out there looking to cut some fat from your stomach. Rulers tend to be pretty uniform throughout the entire length of their body with little to no curves. As a result, a lot of Ruler exercises work on slimming down the midsection to highlight your natural curves.

Side Benders are an effective way to burn fat from your abdominal region. Be sure not to add too much weight to your sculpting bar or use heavy dumbbells because you do not want to hurt your back! Also, quick tip, try not to move your hips when doing this exercise. That will maximize your gains from the maneuver. Be sure to add this to your workout Rulers!
