LEO'S JOAD is a Junior Olympic Archery Development Program for youth ages 7-18. Located in West Falls, NY, Leo's is one of the oldest clubs in the US.

LEO'S JOAD is a Junior Olympic Archery Development Program for youth ages 6-18. Classes are taught by our volunteer certified coaches and instructors. Located in West Falls, NY, the program runs from October through July. In the fall and winter seasons 3 classes are held on Tuesday nights, a beginner class at 6pm, an intermediate class at 7pm and an advanced class at 8pm. The spring and summer seasons we shoot outside, weather permiting and all students shoot at 6pm. The cost is $5 per week and includes instructional shooting, use of equipment and range facilities.

Anyone in need of their NYS Hunter Education and Bowhunting Education courses required to go hunting can sign up for the classes West Falls Conservation Society.

Student must be at least 11 years old to attend the course, unless they will, within the next year, hunt in a state that allows hunting under the age of 12.

JOAD weather update

With the forecasted lightening, we will be cancelling the Pre-Joad move up class (6-7pm signups)

For the 6-8pm JOAD classes, we will likely be moved indoors for shooting/form/setup.

Unfortunately cannot fit the full group indoors at once.

This week will be our final set of classes held indoors.

Beginning May 26, JOAD classes (7pm and 8pm lines only) will combine into one class running from 6–8pm for the outdoor season. We are planning June 30 as last class.

We will also be reaching out by email to select Pre-JOAD (6pm class) shooters who are close to moving up. Those archers will receive an invitation for 6–7pm outdoors as trials for the upcoming season.

Congrats to our Leo’s JOAD winners from NYSAA Indoor State Championship!
11 from Leo’s JOAD attended and all 11 made the podium in their divisions, statewide! Hope to see even more shooters next year!
