Fall is here, and we have a great lineup of October activities and programs at the City of Manitou Springs Pool & Fitness Center! Whether you're looking to stay active in the water, try a new fitness class, or participate in one of our special programs, there's something for everyone.

October Pool Activities

Our October aquatic programs include:
Water Aerobics - Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 10:30-11:30am and Tuesday/Thursday from 9-10am. Included with daily admission, punch cards, and memberships.
Youth Swim Lessons - Monday/Wednesday or Saturday. Registration required. $66 per session. Classes begin October 26 & 31.
Water Tai Chi - Tuesday/Thursday from 10:30-11:15am. $70/month. Begins October 1.
Masters Swim Team - Either morning or evening options. Registration required.
Megalodon Youth Swim Team - Monday/Wednesday from 5-6:30pm. Registration through https://www.manitoumegalodons.com/
Floating Sound Bath - October 23 from 7:30-9pm. $10 per person. 18+ only. Registration required.

October Land Activities

Looking for something outside of the pool? Check out our land-based programs:
Tai Chi - Monday/Wednesday, 9-10am. $70/month.
Adult Judo/Jujitsu - Tuesday/Thursday, 6:30-7:30pm. $100/month. 18+ only.
Poolside Yoga & Stretch - Thursdays, 8:30-9:30am. $50/month.

Multipurpose Room Rentals & Birthday Parties - Our multipurpose room is available for rentals, and birthday party packages!

Swim lessons will be Monday and Wednesday for 4 weeks per session.

Monday/Wednesday and Saturday swim lesson registration is OPEN!

Mon and Wed:
Start date of September 28th with an end date of October 21st.

Group 1 time is at 10am. Turtles only.
Group 2 time is at 5:30pm. Sea Lion, Dolphin, Shark.
Group 3 time is at 6pm. Guppies, Starfish, Seahorse
Each class is 30 minutes in duration.

Saturday:
Start date of September 5 with an end date of October 24.

Group 1 time is at 10:30am. Guppies, Starfish, Seahorse.
Group 2 time is at 11am. Guppies, Starfish, Seahorse.
Group 3 time is at 11:30am. Sea Lion, Dolphin, Shark.
Group 4 time is at 12pm. Sea Lion, Dolphin, Shark.
Each class is 30 minutes in duration.

Level Descriptions:

Turtle: 9 months to 2 years old. Introductory level with Mom or Dad in the water.

Guppies: Introductory Level. Participants will learn to submerge in the water comfortably, learn to float on their front and back, and start learning arm motion to understand swimming strokes.

Starfish: Participants will refine floating skills, learning to rotate from front to back while floating, work on forward movement with arm motion by themselves. Freestyle stroke will be introduced at this level.

Seahorse: Participants will refine skills in Freestyle and learn Side Glide. This level is appropriate for participants who can independently float on front and back by themselves and can move forward in the water for 10ft by themselves.

Sea Lion: Participants will learn Backstroke at this level. This level will be appropriate for participants who are proficient in Freestyle stroke.

Dolphin: Participants will learn Breast stroke at this level. This level will be appropriate for participants who are proficient in Freestyle and Backstroke.

Shark: Participants will learn Butterfly at this level. This level will be appropriate for participants who are proficient in Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breast stroke.

TWO new classes are being introduced at the Manitou Springs Pool and Fitness Center!
Water Tai Chi and Judo/Jujitsu.

Join us for an October class to train with low impact for balance, body, and mind!

The Floating Sound Bath is coming back for a second event, with sounds lead by artist Kara Stutzman!
Don't miss out!

Join us for a Floating Sound Bath where the soothing sounds and gentle tones combine with the calming movement of the water to create deep relaxation for the mind and body.

As you float comfortably on provided pool noodles, pool noodle chairs, or relax poolside, you'll be guided into a peaceful state designed to reduce stress, promote mindfulness, and leave you feeling renewed.

Where: Lap Pool and Adult Spa
Cost: $20 per person
Age requirement: 18 years and older
Registration is required, online or at the front desk
Event Minimum: 12 participants
Event Maximum: 50 participants

Pool Information:
Lap pool will be 88 degrees with a max capacity of 42.
Adult spa will be 103 degrees with a max capacity of 8.
(Lap pool temp adjusted for event only.)
