On behalf of Rollaire Skate Center, we send our thoughts and condolences to the family of Sara Barnett. Sara (along with her husband, Dave, and their daughter, Abbey) was a huge part of the Friends of Citizen Park Center organization which played a major role in Rollaire Skate Center remaining open back in 2012 after the City contemplated closing the building. Sara was also a "Skate Mom" when their daughter, Abbey, competed as a member of the Rollaire Speed Team, showing her support at all of our practices and traveling across the country for meets to support Abbey and the team. Many card games were played at the famous yellow picnic table between Sara and her sister, Katie, while Abbey and her cousins, Tyler and Curtis, practiced!
