Here’s what I’m putting together for Christmas break! 🎄🏀

The Transfer Gap Christmas Camp will help players use their skills when the game gets difficult and leave with a plan to keep improving.

📅 December 28–30, 2026
📍 Birkholz Family Gym, Mankato

Boys and girls:
🏀 Grades 3–5: 9:30 AM–Noon
🏀 Grades 6–8: 1:00–3:30 PM

$200 for all three days | 20 players per group

Players get a workbook, training resources, a weekly development schedule and a seven-day action plan with follow-up. Each family also gets a signed copy of The Transfer Gap.

For years, I’ve sent recap videos home after camps.

My goal has always been to give players something they can keep using.

But I’ve learned that sending a video isn’t the same as helping a player make a plan.

What are they working on?
Why does it matter?
When are they going to do it?
What will they change if they’re struggling?

Those are things I want to help players answer.

I’m proud of the camps we’ve run. This Christmas, I’m building on that experience with connected basketball training, workbook conversations and a plan for what comes next.

The camp ends December 30. Their development doesn’t. 💪

Learning a skill and trusting yourself to use it are different. I call that The Transfer Gap.

This Christmas, we’re helping players work through that gap with three days of training and a plan to keep building after camp.

Sometimes players need to see themselves do it before they believe they can. 🏀

That’s a big reason I use Mat Jump Finishing, especially with the girls I train. I want them to realize they’re capable of athletic finishes in the air.

✅ Jumping out
✅ Staying poised and using their hang time
✅ Moving the ball in the air
✅ Controlling their body
✅ Finishing later in the jump

When they pull off a finish they didn’t think they could do, that confidence starts to grow.

And then we get to celebrate that moment together. 🎊 Watch the last clip!

A packed basketball schedule can push individual skill work aside. But the struggles your player wants to fix still deserve attention. 🏀
