Our Honorary Captain for last Friday night’s game against Canton was Omari Walker! Omari is a ‘93 Graduate and football alumni of Mansfield High School and led his team to the program’s first State Championship with an undefeated record of 11-0 and was named Gatorade Player of the Year in Massachusetts! Omari went on to play at Boston College where he was a 1st Team All-Big East selection and led the Big East in rushing. In his senior yea, Omari led BC to an
upset of #1 Notre Dame in South Bend!

Omari earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in education while attending Boston College. Omari has worked in education for over 25 years, including roles as a Principal in the Fall River Public Schools and currently as a Principal of the New Heights Charter School in Brockton, which he founded over 10 years ago.

In addition to his career as an educator, Omari has volunteered as a Youth Football Coach in Mansfield for decades and almost every high school player at Mansfield has been coached by him at some point in their youth experience! Omari and his wife Tina have seen all of their children attend Mansfield HS as outstanding student-athletes and his daughter Briena will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame next Saturday!

This past Friday night, we proudly celebrated our SENIORS and expressed heartfelt gratitude to their families for their unwavering dedication and support throughout the past four years. 💚 Thank you for being an essential part of this journey!

It’s GAME DAY - SENIOR NIGHT - HOMECOMING!

It will be an eventful night back at Alumni as the Hornets face off against the Canton Bulldogs at 6:30pm!

Before kickoff, we will honor our SENIORS and their parents for their dedication and support over the last 4 years!

The Homecoming ceremony will take place at halftime, and don’t forget Trunk or Treat from 4:30-5:30!
