Had the chance to do some preseason work on the traps. They are tuned, dyed, waxed, and ready for some fur this season!

Have not posted in awhile. Getting ready for the up coming deer season!

Yesterday I had a hunt I will never forget! It had ups and downs within the first 3 minutes. This is the biggest Tom I have ever seen and it’s biggest my uncle has ever seen. It was a warm evening and I got out of the truck and started to walk to my spot. I took 8 steps and had a Tom run in front of me. I fired 2 times and missed both. I checked the gun over in the field, found out the bead was bent upwards. My uncle then let me use his Re*****on 870 super magnum. I continued the hunt, and walked down the trail to my original spot. I sat down and waited 10 minutes. I cluked 4 times with my Prioms Rare Breed Slate call. I heard nothing in return. I waited about 30 minutes, and looked up. 10 yards behind my Flextone Thunder Chick decoy, there was a big bright red head! I turned on my GoPro, grabbed my gun and put the bead right on his head. I pulled the trigger slowly not wanting to mess it up. I fired and he dropped 55 yards from me! I got over to him and saw what he looked like - a big beautiful bird! God was looking down at me that day. Upon getting back to the truck with my uncle we realized just how big he really was. I am so thankful for my uncle taking me out .r.hock . I Thankful I was able to pull off the shot with the Re*****on 870 with Federal TSS shells! Blessed I get the opportunity to be in the woods to harvest a big beautiful bird!!

Excited to finally get these in!

Broke my hand towards end of FB season & couldn’t use my new bow I worked all summer at the farm for. Coach Muncy loaned me a crossbow so I could keep hunting. I ended the season successfully. Got my 🦌 back from Woodville taxidermy.
