🏊 Become a Certified Lifeguard. Make a Difference.

Looking for a rewarding job or a way to build lifesaving skills? The American Red Cross Blended Lifeguard Certification Course prepares participants with the knowledge and confidence to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies.

Through online learning, in-person instruction, group discussion, and hands-on practice, participants will learn:
🛟 Professional rescue and surveillance skills
⛑️ First Aid
❤️ CPR/AED
🤝 Teamwork and emergency response procedures

📅 Course Dates
October 17 | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
October 18 | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
October 24 | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

📍 Shelby YMCA
Attendance at all three in-person sessions is required.

Cost
✅ FREE for Richland County residents or individuals who work in Richland County
💲 $200 for YMCA members outside Richland County
💲 $250 for non-members outside Richland County

Requirements
✔ Must be at least 15 years old
✔ Attend all scheduled classes
✔ Complete the required swim skills evaluation
✔ Complete the Red Cross online prerequisite before the first in-person class

Do you enjoy working with kids and helping create fun, engaging experiences for youth and families? The Mansfield YMCA is looking for a Lead Program Assistant to join our Youth Programs team!

This part-time position will help support the day-to-day operations of our Program Department and assist with youth and family programs and activities throughout the Y.

If you’re enthusiastic, dependable and passionate about making a positive impact on kids in our community, we’d love to hear from you!
