You are out of the line on a shelf road with a problem, and the rig behind you is still coming, still expecting you to be moving. The bars went hours ago. There is no way to tell anybody.
MudQuest is an off-grid convoy app for off-roaders, and this is the part it is honest about. In range, the phones in your convoy link straight to each other: live map, dropped pins, group chat, push-to-talk, recorded trails. No tower, and nothing to sign into once you are out there.
Out of range, it does not pretend. The rigs you have lost hold at their last known spot with a time on them, and the message you send waits and goes through the moment the gap closes again.
