Greetings family and friends. As you may know, Liam is going to Pensacola Christian College and studying for the ministry. He is also a starter for the Eagles basketball team. This summer, Liam is going on a mission trip to Africa with the basketball team. While there, he'll have the opportunity to preach as well as play basketball with one of the African national teams.
If you are willing and able, we'd love for you to be a part of Liam's mission trip by supporting him financially. The college is covering the cost of air travel and a missionary family is providing lodging, but there are other expenses including Liam's passport, vaccinations, visas, and spending money... and I had no idea just how expensive those things are!
If you'd like to help financially, you can contribute via Zelle at my phone number ending in 6694 or reply to this text and I'll give you an address where you can send a check. If you can't help financially, that's OK. Please help us out by keeping the boys in your prayers for the ten days beginning August 14. Thank you and God bless!

So this is it, my Team USA family. Liam has done this the last four years and now it's over. Every minute has been a blast and I want to thank every young man who donned a Team USA jersey with Liam... and yes, I can name each one from memory. I want to thank every coach who volunteered his time to coach the boys or to help me in my attempt to coach... Leland Carl, CJ Pomeroy, Jeff Marshall, and George Spears. George, my brother, it was an honor and a privilege to coach with you again this year.
This year alone we watched games and cheered for old teammates. We cheered for CHSM and Coach CJ and Cam. We cheered for South Austin and James and Anakin. We cheered for FEAST and Max and Connor. We cheered for AHSA and Coach Jeff and Cameron. Team USA is family!
In the four years, Team USA is 12-2. That "ain't" bad for a bunch of guys thrown together thirty minutes before their first game. The first year, we had seven guys so everyone got lots of playing time but there were a couple on the bench for breathers. I remember that every player scored in every game that year. The second year, we had 12 guys and we pretty well ran everything in 3 minute spurts. It was different but effective and we wore the other guys plumb out. Last year, we struggled to find five players so we played all three games, including an overtime game against the best team out there, with five. Every young man played every minute of every game and each one filled a niche perfectly. This year we had ten. It was tough getting everyone the playing time they wanted, but no matter who we threw in where, the five boys on the floor seemed to gel. They all knew their roles and played hard.
Thank you parents for raising such fine, Godly young men. Blessings and best of luck in whatever the future holds.
