Sleeping Bear Dunes Port Oneida Run
The Port Oneida Run is a 5K trail run through the Port Oneida historic rural neighborhood in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
The Port Oneida Run is a challenging 5K trail run (or just a beautiful walk) on the Bayview Trail offering a unique tour of the Port Oneida Rural Historic District – “one of the most prized historic landscapes in the country”! Run for the Farms! Choose from a rolling 5K trail run/walk on the Bayview and Heritage Trails or the Tiller’s 10K on the Bayview Trail, back gravel roads, and a portion on a firm Lake Michigan beach! Both are beautiful and support historic preservation in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore including the Port Oneida Rural Historic District's farmsteads. Also includes the Kids 1/4 mile Schoolhouse Dash.
Location: Charles Olsen farmstead at 3164 W. Harbor Hwy (M-22), 3 miles north of Glen Arbor, just west of Port Oneida Road.

Port Oneida Heritage Run

REGISTRATION OPEN!
Registration is open for the 6th annual 5K and 10k (new!)run through the beautiful scenery of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore supporting preservation of the Park’s historic resources. The new Tillers 10K is on the Bayview Trail, back gravel roads and a portion on the Lake Michigan beach! Both offer a unique tour of the Port Oneida Rural Historic District's fields, hills, and farmsteads from the late 1800s. Afterwards, take a swim on the beautiful beaches in the National Lakeshore!
Online registration closes Thursday, July 30, 5pm. Walk-on registrations are welcome. Registration by July 30th- $28 After July 30 th – $33
Kids Schoolhouse Dash – $5 (no pre-registration): Children ages 9 and under can start the day off with a 1/4 mile Schoolhouse Dash to the historic one-room schoolhouse on the Bayview trail.
