46 POINTS. ONE PERFECT BIG AXE GAME.

Congratulations to our very own Trey Cain on his FIRST perfect Big Axe game!

Trey has been a standout with the Big Axe while also earning accolades as an amateur in Hatchet. With worldwide finishes of 57th, 53rd, and 52nd in 2026, he's now heading to his second Big Axe World Championship!

This milestone comes from putting in the work. Trey is one of our most dedicated league members, coming into the Lair several times a week to refine his throw. We've watched the practice, the adjustments, and the determination. Seeing it all come together in a perfect game makes this one especially meaningful.

From David, Austin, and your entire Dragon's Lair family: we're proud of you, Trey! You've earned this moment, and we have a feeling that 46 is going to have plenty of company.

Three Dragon's Lair throwers went to Michigan. They gave us plenty to cheer about.

Ryan Ortiz, Victor Trofimuk, and Dialyn "Dia" Thelen traveled to Axe Play in Jackson, Michigan, for a Regional Tournament against a field featuring many of the world's best. They answered with a championship, three more podium finishes, and a weekend that made the Lair proud.

Ryan and Victor joined forces in Hatchet Duals for the first time and went straight to the top. They defeated the former world champions on their way to winning the title. First tournament together. First place. That's how you introduce a team.

Ryan also earned second place in individual Knives, then partnered with Austin Bock, another powerhouse in the knife throwing community, for Knife Duals. Another first-time partnership. Another podium, finishing second overall.

Victor added an individual podium of his own, taking third in Big Axe and showing that his success wasn't limited to team competition.

Dia finished 24th in Big Axe against a demanding field, representing the Lair with the determination and competitive spirit we know so well.

The results deserve celebrating. So does the willingness to travel, face exceptional competition, and step into new partnerships with the confidence to make them work.

Ryan, Victor, and Dia, congratulations from all of us at Dragon's Lair Axe & Tap. We can't wait to welcome you home and celebrate with you. You've given the whole Lair something to be proud of.

Senior Photos, With an Edge: Meet Talia - DLAT Featured Thrower

Most seniors bring a change of clothes to their photo session. Talia brought an axe.

Meet our featured thrower, Talia! When it came time for her senior photos, she wanted to honor her love of axe throwing, and we love seeing her represent the Dragon's Lair family.

In three seasons, she's competed in 225 matches and earned 101 wins! Her career high score is 50, with a career average of 41.89 and a best season average of 42.93.

Talia is taking this season off to focus on her studies and college applications as she prepares to graduate high school this school year. She's already applied to Hamline University!

Beyond the lanes, she loves theater and singing, with performances in Les Miserables, The Music Man, and Matilda. She's also part of her school's Pirate Council, a figure skater, and a coach to younger kids. And she's a big baseball fan, cheering for both the Twins and Yankees. We'll let that last one slide.

We're proud of you, Talia! Enjoy your senior year. Your Dragon's Lair family will be cheering you on, and we look forward to having you back on the lanes!

Our goal was to exceed 50 league throwers. Season 4 said, "How about 53?"

Week one is in the books, and we're honored to have 53 throwers in the Dragon's Lair family this season! Seven are brand new family members, including six throwing in WATL for the first time.

New faces, familiar rivals, and plenty of friendly trash talk. We're growing, and we're ready for our most fun season yet. Thank you for helping us hit this milestone!

Season 4 leagues have started, and our Dragon's Lair family keeps growing!

We're welcoming 6 brand-new league throwers and have 48 throwers across our Sunday and Monday leagues, with 3 more new and returning throwers expected during weeks 1 and 2. Our goal was 50, and we're right on the verge of that milestone!

We're grateful to every individual and family who has made the Lair part of their week. You bring the laughter, friendships, friendly competition, and memories that make this community special.

Thank you for being part of our Dragon's Lair family. Let's make this a season to remember!
