I don't even know how to express myself about yesterday's 3 on 3 Tournament...

100 Teams
Winter Storm Watch ❄️

We didn't cancel. 🤪

33 staff members- everyone showed up 🥇
(I LOVE MY STAFF ❤️)

Out of 100 teams, 6 emailed to say they weren’t going to come due to the weather.
(Understandable as those 6 teams were 45 min - 2 hours away -one way in good weather).

I sent out an email asking for local teams to fill in for these 6 teams.

Every. Spot. Filled. 🤯
(a couple only had a one hour time from the email til their first game). 😳 I can't thank you enough you crazy people!!!!

Not one single game forfeited in a snowstorm/blizzard.🤯

That is basically some sort of miracle.

But to top it all off, we did not have even one game where parents were yelling/swearing/negative and we had to step in.

We did not have even one game where it was so physical that we had to send in reinforcement refs to control the game.

We did not have one person come up to us and complain about: score-keepers, refs, other teams/fans or the fact that we didn’t cancel the event in a winter storm. Multiple people THANKED US on their way out.

Why was everyone in such a good mood?
Why did everything go so well - in a WINTER STORM?

I can’t explain it...

This 3 on 3 business never ceases to surprise & inspire me.

Super proud of MN basketball players and families for yesterday. What a great day!
