We had a special visitor at Maquoketa Caves State Park today.Govenor Reynolds took time out for a photo with our volunteers. She thanked us for all we do for the park & mentioned Friends groups are invaluable to State parks.

It's time! Maquoketa Caves State Park & the Friends group will begin boiling the sap collected, on Friday, March 6 & Saturday, March 7 from 8:00-4:00. The event will take place at the sugar shack located near the youth camp area. The public is invited to stop out during those hours to learn how the process works & see sap become syrup. Any questions, contact the park office, 563 652-5833
