One of the best things you can hear from a coach:
"You've got more."

Because sometimes someone else sees what you are capable of before you do.

You might look at the weight on the bar and think that is enough.

Your coach sees how well you are moving and knows you are ready for more.

You might think you cannot get another rep.

Your coach knows you have one left.

You might look at a movement and immediately think, "I can't do that."

Your coach says, "Let's try."

That is what great coaching can do.

It is not just teaching movements or counting reps.

It is having someone pay attention.

Someone who knows when to push you.
Someone who knows when to pull you back.

And someone who keeps reminding you that you are capable of more than you think.

Sometimes all it takes is hearing...
"You've got more."

And then proving to yourself that they were right.

A hard workout and an effective workout are not always the same thing.

You do not have to leave every workout completely destroyed for it to "count."

Sometimes a great day of training means lifting something really heavy.
Sometimes it means learning a new skill.

Sometimes it means slowing down and improving your technique.

And sometimes it means choosing a weight that allows you to move really well for the entire workout.

Being exhausted is easy to measure.
Progress is a little different.

Are you getting stronger?
Are you moving better?
Is your conditioning improving?
Are you learning new skills?
Can you do things today that you could not do six months ago?

That is what we care about.

We want you to work hard.

We also want that hard work to have a purpose.

Because the goal is not to see how tired we can make you.

The goal is to help you become a stronger, fitter, more capable version of yourself.

Something is changing in fitness.

More people are realizing they do not just want to be smaller.

They want to be stronger.

They want to lift heavy things.

Do a pull-up.

Build muscle.

Move well.

Have great conditioning.

Feel athletic again.

And trust that their body can handle whatever life asks of it.

Because there is so much more to fitness than chasing a number on the scale.

There is something really empowering about realizing:
I am stronger than I used to be.
I can do things I could not do before.
I am becoming more capable.

That is what we want for our members.

Not just a body that looks different.
A body that can DO more.

So if your goals are starting to sound less like "I want to weigh less" and more like "I want to see how strong I can get"...

We are here for it.
And we would love to help you find out.

Dads, you have a lot of people counting on you.

And somewhere between work, practices, appointments, projects around the house, and everything else that comes with raising a family...

It is really easy to put yourself last.

But taking care of yourself is not taking away from your family.
It helps you show up better for them.

Getting stronger means having the energy to play in the backyard.
Being able to carry the kids when they ask.
Keeping up on family adventures.
Feeling strong and capable as they get older.
And showing your kids what it looks like to make your health a priority.

You do not need to spend hours in the gym.

You just need a place where you can show up, train hard, get coached, and keep getting stronger.

Because you want to be a strong, active, capable dad for a long long time.

If you are ready to start getting stronger, reach out.
We would love to work with you!

You do not have to think of yourself as an athlete to start.

Maybe it has been years since you played a sport.
Maybe you never played one at all.
Maybe right now, you are just looking for a way to get stronger and feel better.

Then something starts to change.

You start training consistently.
You learn how to lift.
You start chasing a heavier weight on the bar.
You work toward your first pull-up.
You care about getting a little faster, stronger, or better than you were before.
You start looking forward to seeing what you can do next.

And somewhere along the way, you realize...

You are not just working out anymore.
You are training.
You are challenging yourself.
You are doing things you never thought you would be able to do.

You became an athlete.

Not because you won a competition or hit a certain number.

Because you started showing up and discovering what you are capable of.

And you might be surprised by how much you love that version of yourself.

Calories burned are not the only way to measure a good workout. . . and they might not even be the most exciting one!

Instead of always asking:
"How many calories did I burn?"

Try asking:
Did I lift more than I could a few months ago?
Did I move better?
Did I get my first pull-up?
Did I finish the workout faster?
Did I use a heavier kettlebell?
Did I learn something new?
Did I do something today that I once thought I could not do?

Because fitness can be about so much more than burning calories.

👉🏼 It can be about building strength.
👉🏼 Learning skills.
👉🏼 Improving your conditioning.
👉🏼 Moving your body well.
👉🏼 And becoming more capable over time.

That is one of our favorite things about CrossFit.
There is always something to work toward.

And there are so many ways to walk out of the gym knowing:
I got better today!

Getting stronger does not have to be complicated.

You do not need to know every exercise.
You do not need the perfect supplements.
You do not need to spend hours in the gym.
And you definitely do not need to have it all figured out before you start.

You need to train consistently.

Challenge yourself a little at a time.

Learn how to move well.

Recover.

Eat in a way that supports what you are asking your body to do.

And then keep going.

That is where having great coaching makes such a difference.
You do not have to wonder what workout to do or how much weight you should use.

You show up.

We coach you through it.

And little by little, you get stronger.

The weight that once felt heavy starts feeling lighter.

The movements start feeling more natural.

Your confidence grows.

Getting strong is not about doing everything perfectly.
It is about doing the basics really well, consistently, for a long time.

And we would love to help you do exactly that!

Before carrying things feels harder.

Before getting up and down becomes something you think about.

Before you start saying, "I used to be able to do that."

Strength is something we need to build and protect, NOW!

And the earlier you make it part of your life, the more opportunities you give yourself to keep doing the things you love.

✈️ Traveling.
🛝 Playing with your kids or grandkids.
🔨 Working around the house.
✨ Trying new things.
💪🏼 Simply feeling confident in what your body can do.

You do not need to be the strongest person in the room, but you are building strength so you can keep being an active participant in your own life.

Not just today.
For decades to come.

Training alone can absolutely work.
But there is something different about doing it together.

People who notice when you walk in.

People who cheer when you finally hit the lift you have been working toward.

People who push you a little harder without ever making you feel like you are not enough.

People who struggle through the same workout right beside you.

Over time, they become a big part of the reason you keep showing up.

You come for the workout.

But you also come for the conversations before class.

The laughs in the middle of a hard workout.
The high fives when it is over.
The people who notice when you have been gone.

Getting stronger is pretty great.
Getting stronger alongside people who genuinely want to see you succeed makes it even better.

That is what community is supposed to feel like🫶🏼

🌟Member Bright Spot: Samantha Vedete🌟
📍Kick Start + Fitness | MVW Member Since April 2026 | 33 | 1st Grade Teacher

A few months ago, Samantha was stuck.

She had been trying to lose weight since November. She was taking workout classes, running occasionally, and trying to eat better.

She lost 10 pounds, but then hit a plateau that lasted for months.

💬 “I could barely run a 5K without being exhausted. I felt awful physically and mentally.”

Then she ran into Coach Amanda while getting ready for the Boilermaker!

One conversation later, Samantha was convinced to step outside her comfort zone, join MVW, AND take on the Boilermaker 15K for the first time in 3 years!

She was nervous.

Then she walked through the doors.
💬 “The second I joined, I was HOOKED!”

Since April:
✨ She has lost another 20 pounds, bringing her total to 30 pounds this year.
✨ She successfully completed the Boilermaker 15K.
✨ She shaved minutes off her 5K time.
✨She completed her first Murph.
✨And somewhere along the way, her goal became about more than losing weight.

💬 “I was inspired to get STRONG!”

Samantha credits the coaches and community for helping her build confidence along the way.

A special shoutout to Coach Amanda for helping her get started and Coach Colleen for giving her the confidence to take on her first Murph and even finishing that final mile alongside her.

💬 “I won’t ever forget her kindness!”

Now Samantha wants to keep losing weight, getting stronger, and seeing just how much more she is capable of.

Her advice to someone nervous about starting?

💬 “Just try out one class! Everyone is so nice and helpful, especially the coaches!”

And if you’re scared to take that first step?
💬 “Sometimes doing something scary and starting something new might be the best thing for you!”

Joining MVW has helped Samantha reach fitness goals, but she says the biggest changes have gone far beyond that.

Her happiness.
Her confidence.
And believing in herself again.

Keep going, Samantha. We’re so proud of how far you’ve come, and you’re just getting started!
