Hoping that I'll be able to get some pics of the Kenpo 5.0 World Event off of the internet, as my photographer, didn't go this year but thought this one was funny. We told our student, Reilley, who was testing, not to line up next to anyone way bigger than her for the technique line. Did she listen? Hell no! She lines up next to the biggest guy in the test! Lol She still rocked it, though!

This brief video addresses a question posed at a seminar several weeks ago. There was a question about a technique that was being shown which included a gi choke. I glossed over much of each technique here (especiallyTaming the Fist as it has a ton of details), focusing primarily on the choke. Kenpo 5.0 tends to use the gi for grappling more than I prefer, but it is what it is, and alternatives are always available. This is an alternative approach I have been utilizing for years.

A well-deserved congratulations to Sensei Greg Gajewski and Sensei Chuck Dietz for earning 2nd Degree Black Belt (Nidan) after a grueling test... 5 1/2 hours of techniques, sets, and forms. Had a great time training at the USMAHOF/IMAC Training camp in Las Vegas last week. Love the opportunity to cross train in a lot of different arts over a couple of days! 👊
