Marietta Baseball Club announced Mason Carroll as its 10U Player of the Week presented by Affinity Home Lending LLC for 5/11-5/17. Carroll posted a .500 OBP (.333 AVG) over the 3-game tournament, with 1 RBI and 1 SB. He saw action at 2B and LF, in addition to not allowing an ER in 1 1/3 IP over 2 contests out of the bullpen (3 K). Congratulations Mason!!!

Marietta Baseball Club announced Wy Smith as its 11U Player of the Week presented by Affinity Home Lending LLC for 5/11-5/17. Smith hit .667 (2 2B) with 3 RBI, 2 R and 1 SB over 3 G, helping MBC to the No. 3 overall seed in the open PG event. He pitched 2 2/3 IP out of the bullpen over 2 contests, notching 3 K. Congratulations Wy!!!

Marietta Baseball Club announced Ben Murray as its 12U Player of the Week presented by Affinity Home Lending LLC for 5/11-5/17. Murray belted 2 HR, while hitting .444, in 4 G, helping MBC to a tourney championship. He tallied at least 1 H in each contest, adding 6 R, 5 RBI and 3 SB. On the bump, Murray started and threw 4.0 IP of no-hit ball in the semifinal, posting 8K, also playing 1B and CF over the weekend (1.000 fielding %). Congratulations Ben!!!

Marietta Baseball Club announced Aydin Myles as its 13U Player of the Week presented by Affinity Home Lending LLC for 5/11-5/17. Myles batted .615, including 2 3B and 2 2B, over the 5-game tournament, helping MBC to a runner-up finish. He added 7 R, 5 SB and 4 RBI, while recording at least 1 H in each outing. Myles threw 7.0 IP over 3 contests, striking out 20, allowing 3 H and 2 ER. Congratulations Aydin!!!

Marietta Baseball Club 12U was tested in last weekend’s Grand Slam tournament but answered the call each time, notching 1, 2, 5 and 2-run victories en route to an undefeated championship. Great job players and coaches!

Marietta Baseball Club 11U dominated on Saturday of last weekend’s Perfect Game tourney, posting a pair of run rule victories and earning the No. 3 overall seed. The team ran into a buzzsaw Sunday and the bats cooled off but we saw a lot of good baseball all weekend.
