This week at Precision Krav Maga:
In Krav Maga Fundamentals this week, we will be on Week 7 of the curriculum cycle. In addition to our usual combative drills, we will work on applications of the 360 defense and on ways to escape the headlock from the front (aka the guillotine).
In Advanced Krav Maga, we are on Week 43 of the Advanced curriculum. Class will focus on striking during standup grappling scenarios.
The Women's Self-Defense class will be working on more defenses from the ground. This week’s focus will be on defending different attacks from the mount position.
The Kids Krav Maga class will be back on Week 1 of the kids training cycle. This week class will develop good technique in our punches and kick, practice 360 defense, and learn how to defend against a choke from the front.
The next cycle of Friday Fight Club begins this Friday. Applications are in the lobby if you have not already turned yours in. This cycle will focus on movement during combat. If you aren’t good at moving your feet and repositioning your body during sparring, this is a training cycle you don’t want to miss.
The next Orange Belt test will be this Saturday. There will be a short Fundamentals class before the test, and the Advanced class will start a little late so that we can fit the class between the classes.
The fall social event is scheduled for Saturday, November 14. Please save that date on your calendars. A sign-up sheet is in the lobby where you can let us know what you would like to bring to the event (side dishes, salads, desserts, etc). Lane will be smoking brisket again for the main course.
See you in class!
