The weather will be warm, the flowers will be buddin’ n’ bloomin’ , the trees will be out in full green glory—all while we come together in celebration for the arrival of lady Spring 🌸 This year’s theme takes us deep into the South Asian SundarBans Mangrove forest (the largest in the world and home of the Royal Bengal tiger) 🌳🎋🐅

Meet Antora Rahman Doha (aka Kaori Didi), former teacher/student of Mayur and currently artistic director/founder of Alokha Dance Academy in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area; specializing in traditional Odissi with a modern/contemporary & fusion twist!

“It feels so good to be back in action with the Mayur family again! Over the last two summers, I’ve had the continued opportunity to teach for Mayur’s Summer Camp with my students, during which time they’ve gotten a little taste of my own stylistic vision and progression through both movements and music. This year, they will be showcasing “Bloom,” an original piece in which the music and movements are interchangeable between traditional Odissi and modern/western influences. I am extremely proud of these kids and their commitment to learning, practicing, and rehearsing this dance over long distance virtual sessions and the handful of times I was able to come in person over the past year. Many hats off to them, they (and I) can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on!”
