This week’s Student Athlete of the Week is Junior Eli Vessels. Eli’s current season record is 38-9. He won the Garaway Tournament along with placing 2nd at a tough Circleville Tournament, beating a state ranked wrestler in the quarterfinals. He also placed 2nd at the TSL Championship. He went 4-1 this past weekend in Cleveland with his only loss being to the 7th ranked wrestler in the state. Not only has he been excelling on the mat but he also currently has a GPA of 4.2! Good luck in Sectionals, Eli!

Teddy Bauer picked up Marietta’s first TSL Championship medal last night at Fort Frye defeating all three of his league opponents! The Tigers finished 2nd overall and set themselves up nicely for a trip to Independence this weekend! Good luck!

Tiger Wrestling traveled to Garaway today to compete in the Peg Leg Invitational! The team finished 6th out of 15 teams and Eli Vessels and Jacob Chovan led the squad with first and second place finishes, respectively!
