With the 37th pick in the 2023 MLR Draft, MLR + LA picks Flanker, Nathan Beil from UCLA. Before moving to the states to pursue a career in professional rugby, Beil represented his homeland as a player of the Queensland Premier Rugby team and captained the U20 Australian barbarians.

With the first of three picks in round three of the 2023 MLR Collegiate Draft, MLR + LA welcomes Full Back, Oli Griffiths to the squad! Originally from Sydney, Australia, Griffiths joined University of California LA on the pitch in 2023, where he earned multiple accolades including the PAC All-Conference #15 of the Year.

MLR + LA selects Ho**er, Jackson Zabierek in the second round of the 2023 MLR Collegiate Draft! Zabierek comes to us from University of California Santa Cruz, where he participated in the UCSC Rugby inaugural season and captained the team for three seasons. He was also a California Grizzlies and USA Combine select.

With the fifth pick in the first round of the 2023 MLR Collegiate Draft, MLR + LA selects Fly Half, Matthew Anticev from Dartmouth. Anticev comes to us after coming off a successful summer overseas, as he played for the New England Independents Red team that won the 2023 NCR All Stars tournament.

Dear Valued Rugby ATL Supporters,
First and foremost - thank you. We are incredibly thankful for your support over the past 4+ years and you, the fans and partners, have helped build an incredible team here in Atlanta. Without you, we would have never made it this far.
Major League Rugby (MLR) today announced that subject to certain closing conditions, Rugby ATL plans to relocate to Los Angeles for the 2024 season upon closing of the acquisition by the new ownership group. Details of the transition are being finalized, and a formal announcement and introduction of the new team and ownership group are expected soon.
We have truly enjoyed calling Atlanta home and we know the rugby culture and community will continue to thrive here moving forward. From the early days of matches at Life University to once again securing the “Fire and Ice Cup” this past season and everything in between, your dedication fueled our players and we are forever grateful. Although we are moving West, your dedication to this team, and Atlanta, are why Major League Rugby will continue to seek and engage ownership groups in an effort to return to Atlanta as the league continues to expand.
A special thank you to our terrific partners, especially Barbour Orthopaedics, for their unwavering support and ensuring our players and fans were well taken care of - on and off the pitch.
We remain a people-first organization and there are still many details yet to be determined. Our continued focus is ensuring our players and staff are taken care of, whether they are relocating with the team or not.
Again, thank you for pushing the P.A.C.E. and cheering on the team over the past 4+ years. You are what made Rugby ATL so special.

Trade Alert 🚨 Rugby ATL has acquired one international slot and salary cap considerations in 2024 from the Toronto Arrows in exchange for Rewita Biddle and Jordan Brown. Thank you Rewita and Jordan, and good luck in Toronto!
Biddle scored 32 points across 13 matches, and Brown appeared in 6 matches, scoring 5 points in the 2023 season.
