Christians, history is repeating itself...

60 years ago, Jack LaLanne was warning people that something was wrong.

People looked tired.
Sad.
Heavy.
Disconnected from the way the body was designed to live.

And his “secret to happiness” was not complicated.

Eat real food.
Move your body.
Get outside.
Stop abusing the body and expecting the mind and soul to feel well.

He was one of the first people teaching  Biblical health to the world. 

That should sober us.

Because if he was saying this decades ago, what would he say now?

We have more convenience than ever.
More information than ever.
More “health hacks” than ever.
More influencers, trends, medications, apps, trackers, and expert opinions than any generation in history.

And yet people are exhausted.

Sicker.
More anxious.
More inflamed.
More confused.
More disconnected from God’s design than ever.

This is not nostalgia.
This is discernment.

Because the “good old days” were obviously not perfect.

You cannot feed the body chemicals and expect vitality.

You cannot sit all day, scroll all night, live indoors, ignore Scripture, neglect sleep, and wonder why joy feels out of reach.

If Jack LaLanne was sounding the alarm 60 years ago, what will our great grandkids say 60 years from now?

Will they look back and wonder why we knew better but did nothing?

Why we had the research, the warnings, the sickness, the obesity, the anxiety, the cancer, the confusion, and still kept choosing convenience over stewardship?

Christian families, we need to shape up.

Not because the body is our god.

Because the body belongs to God.

And the way we steward it today will preach something to the generations after us.

The question is, what sermon are we living?
