From our World Soccer Celebration Display Artist:

"Hello, I am P. T'ul Gómez from San Andrés Larrainzar, Chiapas. This text serves as an introduction to a triptych I created for the YMCA's sports project."

Within the canvas, a dove of peace flies above people with disabilities who are praying for stability in their health. This image seeks to reaffirm that faith should never be lost, and to show our community—through this artwork—that their prayers will always be heard by God.

The turtle represents patience and tranquility—an essence every individual should strive to embrace. Placed at the center of our lives, this value allows us to better appreciate our surroundings and enjoy our physical well-being. The turtle carries its home upon its back, its shell adorned with hexagonal patterns resembling a soccer ball. While that home may be heavy—perhaps limiting its agility—it is a constant source of self-reliance. In the same way, our challenges, aspirations, and dreams require resilience, patience, and self-motivation; yet it is precisely these qualities that grant us strength and allow us to serve our community with greater efficiency.
The symbol of unity reminds us that we are part of all creation—that we share a world that needs each of us. If we are able to be here, we must reach out, cherish this existence, and learn from one another and from our society.

The manta ray symbolizes dreams—the gifts within our souls that give life to our imagination, ideas, and aspirations, whether that means becoming a swimmer, a soccer player, or pursuing any practice that brings calm and spiritual well-being. Those who embrace health and gratitude are already reaping the rewards of their efforts.

So let us play together—for the happiness of all, to heal one another, and to score a goal of personal achievement, social contribution, and a better world.

"Finally, I would like to thank the YMCA for including me in this project, and to express my gratitude to the team at Little School Green Acres for welcoming me into their learning circle; they have given me the opportunity to keep my skills alive and to feel that I am truly of service to the community"

A special thank you to our friends at Georgia Access for helping us make this Mother's Day Tea Party one to remember. 💐 Because of your partnership and support, our moms were able to enjoy a beautiful, meaningful morning — and that means everything to us. We are so grateful to work alongside organizations that share our heart for community. Here's to more moments like these! 🫖✨
