I have openings for Open Water Certification this April! Train in Florida’s beautiful springs—calm, crystal-clear water that creates the perfect environment to learn comfortably and at your own pace.

This is a great event in Destin every May. Even if you aren't hunting Lionfish, stop by and visit - it's a great event for a really important cause.

The Emerald Coast Open is the World's Largest Lionfish Tournament and is held each year in Destin, Florida! What makes this tournament so unique is the pre-tournament that runs from February 1st through May 14th, 2026. The actual tournament will be May 15th & 16th this year. During the pre-tournament, every lionfish turned in will earn the participant a raffle ticket during the main tournament. And with a prize table valued at over $20,000, this is definitely a crowd draw!

Bucket list item checked - I went fossil diving last month, with Cooper River Divers. What a unique and amazing experience. This is what I found - nothing perfect, but perfect for me. I'll go back and look for a trophy, next time. Challenging and a touch intimidating at first, but after the first dive, I couldn't get back in quick enough or often enough.

If you want to go, leave a comment and we can organize a trip with 'just us' - I went on a 'first timers' trip and it was good being with others who hadn't done the dive. Johnny is a great host, teacher, evaluater of finds - and a really nice guy.
