It is with profound sadness that the Divers Supply Family announces the passing of its founder and long-time leader Mr. Richard (Dick) McNatt. Dick McNatt a devoted family man and diving industry pioneer and innovator passed away peacefully on Sunday January 12th 2025 at his home in Lizella, GA. Dick McNatt retired from an astounding and storied Army career of twenty years with a love of diving and proceeded to establish Divers Supply in 1977 as one of the industry’s first and most successful mail order diving equipment suppliers. Over the ensuing years he grew the company into multiple retail locations and into one of the industry’s leading internet-based diving equipment providers. Dick McNatt is survived by his many children, grandchildren, and other extended family members, many of which manage and work daily within the Divers Supply organization. Dick McNatt was a pioneer in the Diving industry who over the last five decades contributed positively and immensely to the growth of the sport, the growth of the industry, and the success of so many divers’ personal adventures and diving careers, he and his contributions will be missed. The Divers Supply family and staff are committed to continuing his passion for diving and his desire and commitment to always serve and meet the needs of the diving community and all its’ members in the best way possible.
