You don’t need to have an all or nothing approach to achieve your health & fitness goals✨
Showing up every day in some way is more than nothing, it’s the consistency that counts not the quantity.

What do you find yourself snacking on during the day?🍉🍿🥜
Some people (like me) love to snack between meals and others are quite happy with only eating at set meal times. There is no rule to what’s best, as always it comes down to your preferences and works for you to achieve your personal health goals.
My tips for snack choices:
•choose foods that are nutrient packed and not high in process carbs or sugars
•high fiber foods will help you reach daily fiber goals
•if your goal is weight loss, choosing high volume, low calorie snacks
•if you are on the go, planning ahead so you aren’t left roaming around the quick shop trying to find a healthy alternative
•if you struggle to eat enough protein daily, foods like biltong & Greek yoghurt can be a useful addition

The benefits of exercise are just as great for your mind and mood as they are for your muscles.🏃🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️
Your brain releases a range of neurotransmitters during physical activity which play a vital part in improving your mood.
That post exercise ‘high’ is the real deal as endorphins and serotonin levels are increased, boosting your mood and overall sense of well-being.
So here’s your morning reminder to move your body today in a way that you enjoy and experience those exercise endorphins as you enter the weekend smiling.✨

What’s your go to breakfast?🍓✨
Living in a time where new, often contradicting, information is released daily it can be very confusing knowing what’s ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ especially when it comes to nutrition.
Breakfast has had it’s time in the spotlight with many questioning;
Is it the most important meal?
Should I be skipping it completely and having my first meal at lunch? (Hello fasting)
Does coffee count?
My advice when it comes to breakfast:
🥄If you’re hungry eat, if not wait until you are.
🥄Try to add a source of good quality protein to your first meal of the day. Whether that’s Greek yoghurt, eggs or protein powder. A source of protein that you enjoy.
🥄If you do prefer to have your first meal later in the day, ensure you are still maintaining good hydration.
Create the lifestyle that works for you 🌿

Don’t put things off thinking there is a better time coming to begin.
Time will still pass, the only difference will be how you’ve utilised it. ✨

New month, new week, new opportunities to create lasting improvements to your lifestyle ✨
That doesn’t mean:
~Starting a juice detox this week (you have a liver, detoxing is it’s job)
~Demonising carbs (yes you can still eat them and reach health goals)
~Hopping on the scale every morning crossing fingers and toes to see a number less than the day before (weight fluctuates daily and is influenced by multiple things)
~Banishing every ‘cheat’ in sight promising yourself ‘you’ll be good this week’ (over restriction leads to over compensation, if you can’t keep it up, you aren’t creating a lifestyle)
What it can mean:
~Adding more movement you enjoy to your day
~Focusing on adding more protein to your diet
~Making water your number 1 source of hydration
~Reducing (not restricting) added sugars
~Adding more veggies to your plate 🌿
