🏃♂️🏃♀️ THANK YOU, RUNNERS & VOLUNTEERS!
Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for the 2026 O’Brien Trail Races!
The threat of light rain never developed, and the cloudy skies made for very comfortable running conditions. And the runners took advantage of it! We saw fast times across the board, with several runners breaking into our all-time Top 10 and even a few new course records! 🏆
Here are some of the amazing highlights:
🌲 50K
• Patrick Larson won the 50K in 4:35:02, putting him 3rd on the all-time Top 10 list!
• Anthony Holewinski and Thor Holien battled for 2nd and 3rd, with both breaking into the all-time Top 10 — 7th and 9th fastest, respectively.
• On the women’s side, Sara Randorf took the win and recorded the 6th fastest women’s 50K time!
🌲 25K
• Cooper Mumford, coming off an impressive Mindy Creek Marathon performance just three weeks ago, set a NEW COURSE RECORD of 1:40:30! 🔥 Cooper is now getting ready to take on the Break the Bank 50 Miler on October 10th!
• Tammi Braund won the women’s 25K with the 4th fastest women’s time in race history. She is also getting ready to take on Break the Bank!
🌲 10K
• Claire Kazmierczk set a NEW COURSE RECORD, breaking the previous mark by just 4 seconds with a winning time of 55:48!
• Ryan Olesee won the men’s 10K in 51:28, good for 2nd fastest on the all-time Top 10 list!
🌲 5K
• Brian Janaszak nearly broke the course record, missing it by only 2 seconds! Even more impressive, the existing record was set when the course measured 3.1 miles, while the current course is approximately 3.3 miles. Based on his pace, Brian would have broken the old-course record by roughly a minute!
• Elena Spadino, at only 15 years old, won the women’s division! 👏
A HUGE THANK YOU to every runner, volunteer, aid station worker, and supporter who helped make the 2026 O’Brien Trail Races another great year! We couldn't do it without all of you.
We hope to see everyone back next year!
📅 2027 registration opens the day after Thanksgiving with our Black Friday discount!
Thank you again, and congratulations to all of our runners! 🏃♂️🌲🏃♀️
