PROOF IN PROGRESS
Real people. Real work. Real change.

Sometimes progress looks like three trash bags full of clothes that don’t fit anymore. 😂

Size 52 pants and shorts → size 46.

Those are the messages I LOVE getting.

Because progress is about so much more than a number on a scale.

More than anything, it’s about getting stronger.
Having more energy.
Moving better.
Feeling better in your own body.
Building habits that actually become part of your life.

And yes… sometimes it’s realizing half your closet doesn’t fit anymore because your body has changed that much. 😂

This is what happens when the small choices start stacking up over time.

Real people. Real work. Real change. 💪🔥

What does it actually mean to be a leader?

Because leadership isn’t a title.

It isn’t being the loudest person in the room.
It isn’t having people underneath you.
And it isn’t always being the person with the answers.

Leadership starts with how we lead ourselves.

It’s character when nobody is watching.

It’s doing what we said we would do.

It’s taking accountability when we get it wrong.

It’s being willing to learn, grow and be stretched.

It’s knowing what we stand for—and living accordingly.

It’s adding value to the people around us without losing who we are in the process.

And maybe most importantly…

A great leader doesn’t believe he’s finished becoming.

So I’ll leave you with this:

Would you follow the person you’re becoming?

Why do I keep choosing the wrong person?

Sometimes the pattern isn’t found in who we choose.

It’s found in how we continually feel inside our relationships.

Confused. Anxious. Uncertain. Unchosen. Carrying all of the emotional weight.

Different person. Different relationship.
But somehow… a familiar feeling.

When we stop focusing only on “What was wrong with them?” and start getting curious about the patterns we repeatedly find ourselves in, we create an opportunity to do something differently.

That’s a big part of the work I do with my coaching clients.

If you’re ready to take a deeper look at the patterns affecting your relationships, message me to learn what coaching together could look like.

🔥 TESTOSTERONE TUESDAY
Helping High-Performing Men Optimize Their Energy, Performance & Relationships.

Your liver isn’t the only thing paying for your alcohol.

Alcohol can affect:

⬇️ Testosterone and hormone function
😴 Sleep quality
💪 Muscle recovery and protein synthesis
🔥 Body composition
🧠 Mood and cognitive performance
❤️ Sexual function
⚡ Energy and training performance

You don’t have to have an alcohol problem for alcohol to be interfering with your goals.

You can train hard all week, care about your health, want better testosterone, better sleep, better body composition and better performance…

and still regularly ask your body to recover from alcohol too.

Your body doesn’t categorize alcohol as:

“It’s Saturday. This doesn’t count.” 😂

It still has to process it and recover from it.

And amount, frequency, and each individual matter.

A couple of drinks occasionally is a very different conversation from repeatedly drinking heavily every weekend.

So if you’re trying to optimize your testosterone, recovery, sleep, body composition or performance…

Alcohol deserves to be part of the conversation.

Not because I’m telling you that you can never drink.

But because you should understand what you’re asking your body to recover from.

Think a plank is just about holding still? Think again. 😉

A good plank is a LOT more than getting into position and waiting for the timer to run out.

While you’re holding that plank, you should be actively creating tension throughout your body:

💪 Brace your core 360°

💪 Keep your ribs stacked over your pelvis

💪 Maintain a strong, neutral spine

💪 Squeeze your glutes

💪 Engage your quads

💪 Push actively through your shoulders

💪 Keep your head and neck neutral

And don’t forget to BREATHE. 😂

Once you’ve mastered your plank on the floor, then we can start making things more interesting.

Enter the stability ball. 😏

Now we’re introducing an unstable surface and asking your body to maintain that same position while responding to movement.

In this video I’m progressing through three variations:

1️⃣ Stability-ball plank — hold and stabilize.

2️⃣ Stability-ball body saw — move the forearms forward and back while resisting the urge to lose position through the trunk.

3️⃣ Stir the pot — add controlled circles while the core works to resist movement in multiple directions.

Hold → Move → Control.

Now we’re challenging:

✅ Core strength and stability
✅ Anti-extension control
✅ Rotational stability
✅ Shoulder and scapular stability
✅ Hip and pelvic control
✅ Balance and body awareness
✅ Full-body coordination

The goal isn’t to see how complicated we can make an exercise.

Master the foundation. Then earn the progression. 💪

🟢 active release!
Thank you, Jessica for allowing me to demonstrate what a snippet of this looks like.

I love soft tissue work with patients because it goes hand-in-hand with joint work, with nerve work, and just overall mobility, which can lead to less pain.

Sunday prep and a little reminder I think we all need sometimes… 🎒

We can love people without carrying what belongs to them.
Before you pick it up, ask yourself: “Is this mine to carry?”

I’ve worked with a lot of healthcare professionals over the years.
Doctors.
Trainers.
Massage therapists.
Physical therapists.
Chiropractors.

And honestly, Dr. John has become one of my favorite referrals.

What I appreciate most isn’t just the adjustment.

It’s the way he approaches the body as a whole.

Before making an adjustment, he takes the time to assess movement, release restricted tissues, activate muscles, and address what’s contributing to the problem in the first place.

Many times, by the end of the soft tissue work, the body has already started correcting itself.

As someone who has spent 25 years helping people move and perform better, I appreciate providers who take their time, educate their clients, and genuinely care about getting results.

If you’re dealing with pain, movement restrictions, old injuries, headaches, training limitations, or just feel like your body isn’t moving the way it should, I highly recommend reaching out to Dr. John.

He’s now seeing clients here at Inferno Fitness while continuing to serve patients through his clinic, Kick Pain.

Services include:
• Sports Chiropractic
• Active Release Techniques (ART)
• Dry Needling
• Acupuncture
• Graston Technique
• Rock Tape / Performance Taping
• DOT Physicals
• Drug & Alcohol Testing Services

If you’d like to schedule with him or have questions about whether he can help, contact Dr. John directly through Kick Pain.

Being with someone with anxious attachment patterns can have you questioning everything, too.

You may question:

• whether you’re giving enough reassurance
• whether asking for space is selfish
• whether time to yourself means you’re neglecting them
• whether every change in your mood needs an explanation
• whether setting a boundary will feel like rejection
• whether you’re responsible for making them feel secure
• whether their anxiety means you’ve actually done something wrong

And eventually, you may find yourself managing their emotions instead of participating equally in the relationship.

Anxious attachment can show up as fear of abandonment, frequent reassurance-seeking, sensitivity to distance, overthinking changes in communication, difficulty tolerating uncertainty, or pursuing harder when connection feels threatened.

And it can create a painful cycle:

One person senses distance.
They reach for reassurance.
The other feels pressured and pulls back.
The anxious partner feels even less secure and reaches harder.

But here’s what matters:

Not everything should be explained away as anxious attachment.

Sometimes anxiety is responding to something real:

• inconsistency
• mixed signals
• emotional unavailability
• broken trust
• poor communication
• an unpredictable relationship

There’s a difference between an old attachment wound being activated and a relationship that genuinely isn’t providing security.

Can someone with anxious attachment have a healthy relationship?

Absolutely.

But awareness, accountability, emotional regulation, and effort matter.

A partner can offer reassurance, consistency, and emotional safety.

But they cannot become responsible for regulating every fear your attachment wounds create.

Healthy relationships require both people to learn the difference between supporting one another and becoming responsible for one another’s emotions.
