Thank a Superintendent

We may be a little late, as “Thank a Superintendent Day” was earlier this week, but we did not want the week to pass without recognizing one of the best golf course superintendents in the state.

For the past several years, Marion Country Club has been fortunate to have someone so dedicated to making our course better each day. Tod’s hard work, commitment, and pride in this course have helped make MCC one of the premier 9-hole courses in Kansas.

The MCC Board would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Tod for everything he does to make the course enjoyable for every member and guest who has the opportunity to play it.

If you see Tod in the coming days or weeks, please take a moment to thank him for all he does.

Upcoming Course Closures

9/3 - Course closed at noon today for the ladies tournament this afternoon.

9/6 - The course will be closed all day on September 6 for the Couples tournament

9/10-9/12 - The course will be closed for aerating greens. We will close the course at noon on Thursday September 10th and it will remained closed until Sunday morning September 13th.

Thanks for your understanding as aerating is essential to maintaining the health of our greens.

Friendly reminder—our work party is Tuesday afternoon starting around 5:00 PM.

We know it’s going to be hot, so the more people who can come lend a hand, the quicker we can get everything finished and back into the cool. If you have a string trimmer, please bring it along.
