Another fun-filled summer at the Marion Pool is in the books!
A special thank you to our pool staff for all their hard work throughout the season! As our student staff head back to school and summer gives way to fall, we’re saying goodbye to the pool for another year.

Applications for the City of Marion’s Utility Box Public Art Project close Monday, Aug. 31, at 3 p.m.!
If you’ve been thinking about applying, this weekend is your last chance to submit your work and make your mark on Marion with an original, nature-inspired design for one of three utility boxes in Uptown Marion. 🌿

The City of Marion invites artists to apply to design original artwork for three vinyl-wrapped utility boxes in Uptown Marion!
These Utility Boxes are located along 7th Avenue in City Square Park. This public art initiative is led by the Marion Arts Council.
The selected artist or team will create site-responsive designs that are visually engaging and appropriate for a public audience of all ages. The project’s theme is biophilic design – artwork that connects people to nature, promotes health and wellness and encourages active living.

Bring your family, grab some friends and head to Lowe Park tonight for a free evening of activities, community and cultural celebration! ✨
Enjoy an outdoor showing of “Do Dooni Chaar,” a Hindi-language comedy-drama the whole family will enjoy.
Activities begin at 7 p.m., with the movie to follow at 8 p.m. Free activities include inflatables and yard games, while henna tattoos and food from Desi’s Kitchen will be available for purchase!
