It is such a beautiful day here at Foxfield. But for the circumstances, why not play two?

Well, we lost eight to nothing tonight to Aynor but what made it better was this little guy helping me keep the scoreboard. Justin Brock's little boy Chase along with Uncle Pokey.

[02/10/20]   SCRIMMAGE TODAY: FOX FIELD 5:30. See you there.

Congrats to Coach Derrick Urqhart on his nomination to the USC Hall of Fame.

Wow! Doesn't Fox Field look good for Football after all the hard work Coach David Erwin put in this summer managing the "Baseball" Field. Find Coach and tell him thanks Swamp Foxes... and ahem... stay off the infield grass you knuckleheads!

Marion Post 5 Jr. Legion Baseball

2019 Alumni Challenge Game.
MARION. June 29th, 2019. The MHS Allstar Alumni Team won the second annual charity challenge to make it two in a row. They defeated the younger Devil Dog squad 12-6 in seven innings. Over $500 was raised to help the Devil Dogs with playoff travel costs. Highlights included a monster mash home run to dead center by Justin Brock followed by a solo shot off the bat of Aaron Taylor. Justin Elvis looked great behind the plate and Ross White had some untouchable pitches. The Devil Dogs got a needed practice before the playoffs start and it was great for them to face many of the players that helped us win the 2010 State Championship. It was one big family fun day of everyone showing off their skills. Alumni that participated were: Sam Maddox (5) CF, Justin Brock (2) RF, Malik Lightfoot (8) 2B, Aaron Taylor (24) 1B, Russ White (20) SS, Pokey Lightfoot (22) 3B, Ross White (4) LF, Justin Elvis (19) CT, Jarrott Hooks (17) P, Jamie Clark (21) OF, Hardee Sims (13) DH, Dawson Hunsucker (9) OF, Ronnie King DH. Honorary Captain was assigned posthumously to William Johnson. Justin Brock sported the retired #2 to honor Chase Lee and Hunsucker carried the torch wearing #9 to honor Martin Gasque- who actually played and coached on Fox Field in a legion uniform. [06/29/19]   Spread the word, the alumni are taking on the junior Legion at Fox Field tonight at 6. Tell everybody to come...

Swamp Foxes play in Latta tomorrow (Wednesday) and then we will play Aynor at home at 6:30 Thursday. The Loris game is still scheduled for Friday at 6:30 at home. Those are the scheduling updates for now.

[04/02/19]   Our Game today (TUESDAY) is canceled. Reschedule dates coming soon. At Latta tomorrow, see you on the road...

Send prayers and best wishes to our players tonight as they travel to Cheraw for an important region match-up. Marion lost the first game 7-1. Travel to support them tonight at 6:30 if you can. GO SWAMP FOXES!

[03/27/19]   Final score Marion 17 Green Sea Floyds 7. Way to bounce back from a hard loss guys!

[03/27/19]   Marion loses a tough one tonight to Dillon 8 to 6. The Foxes never trailed by more than two and took the lead for the first time in the fifth inning only to surrender it in the 6th. The team never stopped scrapping though and had a chance to win it at the end. Some hard shots were right at the defenders and it wasn't Marions night. They will have little time to shake it off before heading to play Green Sea on the road tomorrow. The team deserves your encouragement as well as the coaching staff. They are putting an exciting brand of baseball on the field each night and have been competitive in every win and loss.

Marion defeats Dillon Christian 14-6. Come to Fox Field tonight at 6:30 to cheer them on against region rival Dillon.

Big week of baseball for the Swamp Foxes. Start it off on Monday night at 6 vs Dillon Christian. We need to get off on a good foot this week. Please support the Swamp Foxes. These boys are out here over the weekend working hard to be ready. Will you be?

[03/23/19]   Marion defeats Lake City last night 3-2 to get their first conference win and third win of the season. Gabe Watson singled in the winning run of Don Britt.

Baseball tonight at Fox Field against Green Sea. The Foxes look to get back in the win column and they will need your help fans. Yes, it will be cold but we need you to be in the stands and make some noise for the Swamp Foxes. Please share this post to get everyone out to the field tonight. Thank you.

A little preview of what Loris is going to see tomorrow night when those Swamp Foxes come to town to get back in the win column...
