25 years ago today I got certified through ISSA.
I’ve been self-employed the entire time, which means learning to manage everything that comes with it, building a client base, the business side of it, unconventional hours, and helping clients navigate behavior change and consistency.
Every week brings new challenges, but if you stick with it, keep learning, and care about your clients, it can turn into a rewarding career.
I’m grateful for everyone who has been part of it.
25 years later, and I still really enjoy the work.

Before you set your health goals, make sure you have the facts!
What’s the #1 thing you can do for your health?
That’s an almost impossible question to answer without data. Everyone’s health history is unique and most likely what works for one person may not work for another. That’s why I believe the most important thing you can do first for your health is this:
Get your yearly bloodwork.
Think of it as your body’s internal report card. It shows how things are really functioning and gives you a clear starting point for what to focus on next.
We all know we should “eat better” and “move more,” but real progress starts when you understand what’s happening beneath the surface.
If you haven’t had your bloodwork done this year, you’ve still got two months left to schedule it. Use that info as your foundation to make 2026 your healthiest year yet.
