A few things…
Firstly, the Canadian wildfires and their smoky aftermath are devastating. I have never seen anything like this in my short 10 years of living in the haven of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. If you are impacted, I hope you are staying safe and taking good care. ❤️🩹
Although air quality is seeming to improve, I have made the call to cancel yoga at the market this weekend. As yoga is primarily a breathing practice and cognizant of the need for proper air filtration, I defer to a climbing motto: safety first, last, and always.
The air quality forecast has fluctuated much this morning. The farmers market will still go on and many farmers and artisans will be offering their goods and services. For many, markets are their livelihood. Although we are cancelling yoga, I encourage you to still show up and support our local community as long as it is safe for you to do so.
Secondly, with the Cyclospora outbreak impacting thousands state-wide, it’s a great time to get your produce locally, meet a local farmer, get some happy greens, and support a family that lives in our area. Our dollars are a vehicle to foster the change we wish to see in the world!!!
Lastly, I wish you and your families well. Stay safe and continue to spread love and care to each other! We will be back with yoga at the market next weekend.
