"Is this real life?" Honestly, that’s the exact question we’re still asking ourselves as we unpack the trailer after CKNA Grand Nationals X. As a small team, you head into a massive weekend like the Grands just hoping to survive the heats, stay out of trouble, and give it everything you've got. But watching Danny hold his composure through those final grueling laps in the Junior class—fighting against the absolute best young drivers in the country—left us completely breathless. Seeing him cross that finish line to take the win didn't just feel like a victory; it is the reward for every late night in the garage, every sacrifice, and every bit of effort our little team has put into this sport. We are incredibly proud, deeply humbled, and endlessly grateful.
A win at this level is never a solo effort, and we owe a massive thank you to the people who believed in Danny and gave him the tools to compete at the front:
• Reserve Motorsports & Dylan Amundsen: Thank you, Dylan, for the incredible guidance, leadership, and trackside support all weekend long. Your dedication keeps this team moving forward.
• Miranda from VLR Karts: We are incredibly grateful to Miranda for her unwavering belief in Danny. Running the VLR chassis gave us the competitive edge we needed on a massive stage.
• Timothy Phillips from Kinetic Karting: A huge shoutout for building an absolute rocket of an engine. The power and reliability were flawless when it mattered most.
• Shout-out to our friends from Parazinho Chassis Jig for making sure our chassis is ready for battle.
The field of 87 Junior drivers was fiercely competitive from the very first session. Danny fought forward through changing track conditions to put together a very consistent performance:
Qualifying P6 (out of 87 drivers)
Heat 1 P1 🥇
Heat 2 P2 🥈
Heat 3 P2 🥈
The Feature P1 🏆 Grand Nationals X Champion!
The Feature Race Summary:
Danny started on pole for the 16-lap main event and after a few corners he dropped back slightly as the pack sorted itself out. He kept his cool, showed patience and methodically working his way back up to the front. He was able to work seamlessly with his teammate to draft away from the chaotic mid-pack battles. With four laps to go he took the lead and worked with a fellow competitor to distance themselves from the rest of the pack. The final laps were incredibly intense, with the field breathing down his neck, Danny drove defensively and with smart racecraft, holding off the charge to bring home a spectacular 1-2 finish for the team.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the friends, family, and supporters who cheered us on both trackside and from home — your text messages, high-fives, and encouragement mean everything to us. As we look ahead to closing out the final races of this incredibly successful season, we do so with full hearts, great memories, and a ton of motivation for what lies ahead.
