This is the buckskin 4 yo gelding we’re starting for a friend. We broke him as a 3 yo and then he came back in the spring to bring along. 16.1 and growing. Barefoot with great feet. Well behaved. Very big and expressive movement. Honest to his jumps. He’s green but with time will make an incredible partner in any discipline. Very sound and healthy. Breed is unclear. He came from a warmblood breeding farm as a yearling. The farm was closing down so breeding info was not available. For sale to the perfect partner. Pm for additional info.

The post from “the Inside Rein” is traveling around Facebook. It’s well written, articulate, factual. It’s also a reality that horse professionals choose every day. I’ve owned and operated Elysian Hills for 36 years. Every year is a struggle to stay flush. But it’s my choice to do this. No one forced it on me.

If you wonder why we have weeds it’s because I’m saving money by not hiring someone to clear fence lines. If you wonder why paint is peeling it’s because I’m saving money not hiring a painter. I get to these jobs when I can. They don’t matter. They are cosmetic.

My priority is and always has been creating and caring for exceptional horses. And we do that very well.

I choose my clients carefully. They see past the weeds. They see the incredible product of my hard work and dreams. They ignore my failure at the cosmetic efforts and applaud my commitment to what matters.

Those clients are out there. I encourage every professional to find them and hold onto them. They make this dream possible.

And the others? Well I’ve chased them down the drive and I’m sure they are spreading ugly stories as we speak. And they are irrelevant. My clients are the very best.

Although not a Trigger baby, we’ve had the pleasure of training this horse for several years. We’ve taken Mack (with the support of his incredible owners) from date night cart horse, never having cantered a single stride under saddle, to field hunter second flight master’s horse, to field hunter first flight phenom, to fabulous novice event horse.

It’s been quite a ride and the training continues. Anything can be accomplished with consistency, clarity and commitment. Thanks to the commitment of his owner he’s come a very long way.

6 yo Trigger baby Swan’s Southern Magnolia put in a foot perfect round this weekend. 16 h, mare, two full seasons field hunting and terrific mileage schooling novice stadium and cross country.

With every outing gorgeous Swan’s Hemingway (Ernie) grows more confident and capable. This beautiful horse will go a long way. 5 yo Trigger baby gelding. 17 h.

I very seldom sell horses other than Trigger babies. We broke this young gelding last year as a 3 yo. He came back for the summer to get him started. We used the same training techniques we have successfully used with our Trigger babies.

Well started 4 yo. Should finish about 16.2. Big mover, very athletic, good jump. Quiet hacking out. Not sure of breeding. Sound and healthy. Please message for additional info.

This young filly just continues to impress. 4 year old Trigger baby Swan’s So Easy. She’s unflappable, calm, always ready to learn and work. Easy is coming along so quickly. She’s in a growth spurt. Should finish up about 16.1. What a lovely mare. As her strength and balance improve, we will add in more jumping. Follow this Trigger baby. She’s special!!
