18 second video of Joe Brown , burping the throttle and another win at the King Tut race this past weekend. Joe and Brandy Brown’s beautiful VP/ Huizenga for Congress S-10 went a lot of rounds over the two day race at the racer friendly Mid Michigan Motorplex.

I have a large selection of photos from today’s action at Mid Michigan Motorplex.

Rain hit right after the 4th round and there were on 9 no box and 12 box cars, so the split was $365.00 for everyone of the 21 remaining race cars

Mark Howard in the Hard Blok Mustang was on a roll and picked up a check. One more rainout for the 2026 drag racing season.

Other drivers doing well today, where Joe Brown, Tim Howard, Donnie Hagar and Stan Jones in another borrowed race car from the Sebright Race team. Got to give Stan and Sebright’s credit, Stan for the effort and all the travel and Sebright for their generosity.

Donnie will be back in action next week at the IHRA bracket finals at Milan Dragway, with the Grand Bend Motorplex team

Joe has his eyes on a race at Bunker Hill, and Veldheer has several items he wants to test and tune wth black 442.

And finally, we want to congratulate Rustin Scott and his sister Heather Marie, who made it to the final five cars early this morning at Norwalk at the NHRA div 3 bracket finals in the Sportsman class. Happy for both of them!

Jim and Jeff Klimp endured rain at Norwalk most of yesterday. Jeff lost by .002 and Jim lost by about the same margin in round two. Both did a great job representing Harland Sharp.

Congratulations to Jeff and Wendy Green, who won the Div 3 NHRA motorcycle championship. I think all the weekly racing against US 131 MSP’s door cars and dragsters all these years helped immensely.

Joe Brown in the VP S-10 lasted the longest of the four race cars that we have racing at Mid Michigan Motorplex.

Joe made it to the final 11 cars in the $7,500.00 King Tut race. Mark Howard, Donnie Hagar, and Tim Howard in his new Mustang race car also did well.

(Just talked to Jim Klimp, he left the track at 1:30 am Sunday and arrived home at 5:00 am—who says drag racers aren’t tough)

Racing continues today in Stanton, with the racers battling for a $5,000.00 top prize

Four team members at the King Tut races at Mid Michigan Motorplex today and tomorrow. Tim Howard is here with his new Mustang race car, his son, Mark Howard, Joe Brown and surprise entry, Donnie Hagar.

Hagar was scheduled to race at the NHRA div 3 bracket finals, but his job held him back and he missed day number one. Next year, if he makes the team, he will schedule vacation days, so he could make it.

New addition to our team, Jeff Klimp did the best on our team today at the NHRA division 3 bracket finals in Norwalk, Ohio. Jeff picked up a small check in his Harland Sharp-backed-Olds Rocket. His father Jim went a few rounds in his Red Wagon, also backed by Harland Sharp and VP Racing Fuels and lubricants.

Stan Jones came with a borrowed race car from his friend, Jim Sebright as Jones’s Corvette was out of commission. The borrowed car had an issue on day two of competition.

The big dollar event starts tomorrow for all the classes and anything can happen. The team from US 131 MSP hopes to do well.
