Only one of the day. Nice way to break in the new combo. Grabbed an ultralight to pitch these Micro jigs. 5'-4" St. Croix Trout Series.
Walked downstream and was impressed to see some deeper runs / cuts. Couple fallen trees and flooding earlier this year gave that section some fish holding structure. Now if they could get passed the truck chasers, it could be productive.
Had my license checked by DNR which was nice to see. They mentioned a 3rd officer starting, who will be helping them, as those 2 cover the Eastern Panhandle (3 counties) Matt Harmon

1/32 oz Micro jig. Black on black.
Looking forward to pitching these in low, clear water

Time to give these a try. Been working on my whip finishing and keeping the collars tighter to the jig head. Gonna grab the dog and walk to the banks looking for any leftover trout

Haven't sat down and tied in a little while, as my priorities have shifted some. This beautiful girl has been keeping my busy, and will be stalking the stream banks with me!

Hit the local trout stream here in the Eastern Panhandle of WV on Thanksgiving morning. Armed with jigs, I managed to go 5 for 6 in one hole. Hiked 3/4 mile downstream and back, with 2 fall fish. Nice see some trout left, but nothing outside 1 spot. Hit a different section of the same stream yesterday, walked 2.64 miles, and only landed a small, smallmouth. Pitched my jigs to every rock, log, or ripple/riffle and nothing! All pics from Thanksgiving

Broke out the bright jigs in hopes of getting a walleye, and was rewarded with a large smallmouth and this little walleye!
