I don’t share enough of the Foreward Golf Company fittings happening in the studio—so here’s a look at the process with Gus! ⛳️

Gus made the trip from Springfield, Illinois, to go through the Forward fitting process and get his personalized club fitting prescription. As a 2–3 handicap, he’s already a strong player looking to keep improving and get his equipment even more dialed in.

Forward’s eight-variable fitting process tests:
• Sole design / head bounce
• Lie angle
• Total weight
• Shaft flex
• Kick point
• Grip size
• Total length
• Swing weight

Using TrackMan, we evaluate how the player responds to each variable and how it influences delivery, contact, and ball flight. Those findings help build a prescription specific to the player’s swing.

Appreciate you making the trip and trusting me with the process, Gus!

Cameron Singler has been making some really nice progress—and playing some good golf lately! 👊

He came to me wanting to become a better ball striker, and it’s been great to see the changes we’re making carry over to the course. This was our third lesson together, and as he shared in his review, he had his best tournament performance after our first two sessions!

Excited about the progress so far and looking forward to continuing to build on it. Appreciate the trust and the kind words, Cam! 🙌

Before ➡️ After with Joe ⛳️

During his initial assessment, Joe averaged +7.5° face-to-path on Trackman—meaning his clubface was significantly open relative to his club path.

He was swinging across the ball to help it finish on target, but his shot pattern was still averaging well right of the target line.

Our priorities were clear: tighten up his face-to-path relationship, then work toward a more neutral swing direction.

We started with a grip adjustment, followed by better wrist positions at the top of his backswing and through transition. This helped Joe control the clubface earlier in the swing and reduced the need to compensate coming down.

As his clubface improved, the shaft and club naturally moved into a better position, allowing him to deliver the club more from the inside and neutralize his path along the way.

A great example of how addressing the clubface first can help improve the delivery of the entire club. Really pleased with the progress Joe made! 👏

BEFORE AND AFTER

Great work with Henry Willenborg this evening sharpening up his distance-wedge play.

Henry wasn’t creating enough hand depth in the backswing, which left the shaft pitch too out in front of him at the top. Because a distance-wedge swing is shorter, there isn’t enough time in the downswing to significantly shallow or reroute the club before impact.

We worked on feeling his hands travel a little deeper to improve the shaft pitch depth and allow the club to move back and through on a more functional arc. The result was more consistent contact and much better control of his distances. 🎯

My guy Weston is swinging it great! We’re using the Junior Power Package to help keep his arms and wrist structure in a strong position. Pretty good move for a 12-year-old! Keep it up, kiddo 👊
