Quality Matters!!! If you’re getting a test you intend to use to make decisions or adjustments to you health you better be sure they are accurate! This is an example of one SMALL step we take seriously to ensure things. Incorporated with gas checks, mechanical and biological QC, maintenance and validation I only put out data I am confident in. I use this same testing for myself.

Weekend recap!! Family, food, and making the most of the time we get together, where the goal was sunshine, the forecast had other plans, and we decided to roll with it. 😂☔️ ❤️

Getting the whole family together isn’t always easy — especially when we have several family members who live out of town. We were missing three families (including two who live out of state), but we were grateful to get the group we could together for a weekend BBQ!

Jason started the brisket the night before because apparently sleep is optional when you’re in charge of the meat. 😂🥩

There was plenty of good food, a pumpkin decorating contest (thanks to our niece who’s a teacher and can come up with something in a pinch!) 🎃, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of catching up. The rain may have cancelled our outdoor plans, but it definitely didn’t cancel the party.

Here’s to the family we have near, the ones we missed, and hopefully getting even more of us together next time! ❤️

Last Friday kicked off one heck of a soccer-filled weekend!⚽️⛳️

We started with the Michigan Jaguars Lansing golf outing, raising money for the financial scholarship fund and honoring the memory of Coach Matt Boersma. ❤️ It was a day filled with good people, great memories, plenty of food and drinks, and just enough questionable decisions to make us feel like we were in our 20s again. 😂🍻

Then, because apparently we don’t know how to slow down, the very next morning we were off to Chicago for our daughter’s soccer weekend and the Detroit area for our son’s team (divide and conquer!). ⚽️🏙️ More soccer, more memories, and more time cheering them on — exactly where we wanted to be.

And now we’re back home and back to reality… meal prep, workouts, clients, schedules, and trying to convince our bodies that we are, in fact, no longer in our 20s. 😂💪🏼🥗

From golf outings and honoring special people, to road trips and watching our kids do what they love, to getting back into the weekly grind — feeling pretty grateful for all of it.

One crazy weekend. A lot of miles. Even more memories. ❤️⚽️

Well… this wasn’t on today’s Metatec schedule. 😂🐇

Found this little guy outside the office this morning, tucked up against the building and apparently having a pretty rough day.

So, naturally, the guy who spends his days measuring metabolism ended up doing a little wildlife rescue instead. 😂

No DEXA.
No RMR.
No VO₂ Max.

Just a little towel, a little TLC, and hopefully getting this guy back where he belongs.

Sometimes you just have to stop what you’re doing and help. ❤️

We had such a great visit with Laurie Nelson last week showing her our office, explaining the testing we do and what they can provide for her clients to support their goals! We’ve know Laurie for a bit training side by side awhile back at STATE OF FITNESS then she became an amazing trainer there herself helping us with gains and making sure we were doing it the right way. Laurie is now starting a new chapter, coaching independently M43 Fitness m43fitness. She can train anyone but loves working with the 40+ crowd. If interested reach out at [email protected].

Gochujang turkey meatball bowl for lunch today.

Nothing fancy — just a good meal that fits what I’m trying to do.

Turkey meatballs, veggies, rice, green onion and a little spicy sauce.

I love cooking, so eating for my goals doesn’t have to mean eating boring food.

Lunch doesn’t have to be chicken and sadness. 😂

Had a great visit with the lovely Morgan Ekovich at Get Fit with ME LLC - Online Personal Training & Nutrition Coaching. She came in about a week ago to get her RMR and VO2 Max tests (Rocked them too!). The relationship first blossomed a few weeks before when she came in to get her DEXA Scan (Body Composition and Bone Density) done. We got to talking about so much, and WOW, we have so much in common! Morgan is such an amazing women and coach, and we're so lucky to have crossed paths. We love her coaching methods and values. She's passionate about women's health - especially those with crazy busy schedules and lifestyles.
